Just had a check at the table and I am sitting pretty at the top ;D

A good first week considering that one of my most expensive players, Llorente, didn't even play for Spain! Doesn't quite fit into their 'no striker' system I guess. Is there some sort of grand prize for the winner yeah?

I'm sure I'm not the only one who failed to pick up on the substitutions rule. Completely different to standard FF rules so take a peak if you haven't already.

Sitting very nicely in 2nd place. The only player who let me down was Akinfeev as he didn't play for some reason. I've traded him for Malafeev for round 2.

Top of the league, oh yes. I'm not letting this thread fade away into obscurity while I'm actually winning at something!

FFS! Even my feckin 2nd choice keeper isn't starting. I am the polar opposite of a guru in this competition.

Haven't picked a Dutch player thought they'd bottle it this tournament if I'm honest. I'm envious of anyone who has Scweinsteiger (sp) and Gomez! 2 goals 2 assists and it's only half time.

I have Schweinsteiger and Podolski, so hoping Podolski can grab a goal or assist in the 2nd half. I'm debating whether to keep Van Persie in the team for matchday 3. I suppose there's still a good chance he could score against Portugal.

But he's so pricey. Plus I'm sure the dutch coach is thinking the same thing so there is a good chance he won't start! I'd replace him with Gomez since he's up against the danes.

Yeah, there's a good chance that's what I'll do. I have a feeling Gomez could end up with the golden boot. Well, him or Dzagoev. And I already have Dzagoev.

Taking out Stekelenburg, want Tyton but too many Polish players, 9.3 budget. I have a goalkeeping crisis.
    Scratch that, got Patricio.

Actually scratch that, Gomez is slightly too expensive and I already have two Germans. France and Italy both have easy games coming up, so it's just a case of deciding who will start up front for them...

France have two strikers who travelled Benzema and Giroud. So it's pretty clear benzema is starting, i've got him and he's my captain. Italy have croatia I think who shouldn't be underestimated.

This is for matchday 3, so Italy have Ireland. I've gone for Di Natale.
