I hope not! Green still gives me nightmares from 2010. And whenever I've seen him since, he always seems to be out of position. I'd perfer most to him, including Paddy
only person on here who would still want Kenny. If we have Kenny in goal next season we will prob finish lower than 17th. He was shocking last year.
the 12 hour time difference is a pain being too lazy to drop down the whole page of threads is a curse i am going to have to live with
I don't agree, IMO Paddy is streets ahead of Green, theres no bloody loyalty in Football!!!! sad to see Paddy go
I don't want Kenny to stay our No 1 keeper, though wouldn't mind him as back up. But I don't rate Green - we can find better than him.
Not who I was hoping for but he is a step up on Kenny. I know he had an injury but it wasn't a good season for Paddy, fantastic the one before though. Remind you of anyone?
Think this is a great signing. One moment of madness ruined his career. Not like anyone crowned themselves in glory that world cup but green seemed to be the poster child for the failure. We've potentially got someone who would have been England's number 2 goalie. A good signing in my opinion.
I couldn't disagree more eddie, he was shocking last year. It would be a big step up for us to get green.
I hope not, hes better than Kenny but so is everyone else weve been linked too. I have a funny feeling in a year we will all be wanting another new goalie.
He's a big improvement on Kenny. Probably not quite as good as Foster but it would be a decent signing.
Paddy is a great shot stopper as is Rob Green. What we desperately need is someone who can dominate the area at set pieces. We haven't had such a keeper since Seaman. Does Green fit this category?
@QPR_Stats Can't believe some #QPR fans scoffing at potential signing of England player Green. Not so long ago used to sign players never heard of. ========================= Spot on Stat man!
At the risk of provoking Swords, again, I would have preferred Foster. I guess, being on a free, that Green appears cheaper. Happy enough with that, based on last season he's better than Paddy, although I 'd like the latter to stay in the squad.
The country's second best keeper doesn't exactly fill me with a lot of confidence. It's been the biggest problem for the national team for the past 15 years, the lack of quality keepers. If Swansea can pull a rabbit out of a hat with vorm, why can't we?
