Well.. Sczezney had a nightmare. Van Persie also had a nightmare. Podolski did ok but was'nt at his best. Arshavin had a MOTM perforance. .. Lets see how The Ox gets on today.
Sadly with Shezza, it seems his bad form is just carrying on, and that's not a good thing at all. He's had a major dip in form since January.
No he hasn't He had one poor game for Poland and you're trying to say his form was bad from January ? Explain how exactly ?
Very nice watching Chamberlain's post match interview, very level headed, humble, good to see an England player like that, as sadly many of them get that air of arrogance like their god's best gift to football when they start representing England.
it's a PATTERN, since January the guy's form has obviously dipped, so it's not one poor game, it's part of a pattern of poor displays, and this is just another to add onto that.
Since the start of the year, even Wenger admitted that and said Shezza was going through a rough patch.
Are you living in the same alternate universe as COYG, with his bookie who apparently has France and Italy as joint favourites to win?
Even Wenger openly said Shezza went through a dip in form. ;-) don't let the facts get in the way of your argument. :-D. That line will forever be saved for you.
Funny coming from the same guy who berates everything Wenger says. Shezza's dip in for happened in our last 5 games after his injury which caused him to miss training BTW where is a quote with Wenger saying that
He had that howler against Norwich. I just think he is a bit too cocky. Claims he made that he will be sipping champagne after the group stages or something like that. The guy is far too cocky and has no reason to be. Symptomatic of the yoof of today.
No problem with the odd howler but when you are as cocky as Shezza it makes him look like a big idiot when he makes the mistakes he made for Poland. Building himself up for a fall. To have that level of cockiness so quickly is worrying I think. I know he comes across as a bit of a joker but he also seems a bit of a big head too. The last thing we want is a big headed keeper who thinks he is better than he actually is, he might become difficult to teach/coach.
Respectfully - that is bollocks He's got a lot of confidence, but that's not the same as cockiness. And for a keeper, he needs to be a confident assertive type of personality, that's not a detriment, that's a positive trait. He is a quality keeper and I think he's got it all in check, I don't see any big headed 'better than he is' behaviour at all. As for his dip in form, again not true. He was carrying a shoulder injury, but he still performed really well right through the season. People are using one game to try and run the bloke down - and that is a massive crock of **** as far as I'm concerned
Seriously mate, facts? From the guy who thinks Podolski is a better player than Hulk and who says that Rooney's acting "isn't that bad"? I've got a line saved for you from now on: You're a feckin' eejit.
