    Don't like the OP.

Still, England can get a result here. A draw wouldn't be a bad outcome.

As much as it pains me to say it I hope Ashley Young steps up to the plate, he can be the difference

Wubba, I only like Brie when it's very hard and new. It's horrid when it's old and stinks like smelly socks.

afternoon gentlemen,i'm afraid to say we are average at full strength, but with this squad we are going to get battered i sincerely hope i'm wrong but the cold facts are there to see and the french will never get a better chance for a proper revenge for past defeats(to many to mention),the low expectation is there for a reason.
    now for some serious flak

I fart in your general direction. TBH ... as much as i want France to win maybe this be a bore draw but I cannot see this England team causing the French problems.
Its this simple ... if you watched the Croatia game last night ... the technical gulf was easy to see. England will become a far better team when they finally bury the bulldog mentality and learn to express themselves naturally ... In life you can try too hard and where does that get you?

Why do you want France to win?

Disagree, we need to keep that, while learning to pass it better!

I'm too upset about this match. As soon as the fixtures was released I pictured myself in an English pub enjoying the game with a good mate of mine here who I watch most games with, and then strolling home smugly grinning as I wonder through the Paris night. Then...I have work tonight so I'll miss almost all the match, and my mate's wife gave birth to their first kid this morning so I think he's a little busy tonight. So gutted, but those who can, hope you enjoy an unexpected England win.

28 years in France ... the culture takes over and compare that to how the national team here has been marketed and what it means? ... Its a no brainer for me. I have played in France, I love football and have grown to be proven right every time about the England team .. they will not win until the pressure is taken off of them. We may have given the game to the world ... but we also gave the world the Austin Allegro. Generally I am proud to be converted ... The simple naive fact that most people still call the French Frogs and instantly think of the war or smelly food cracks me up . The Republic of Francais is simply a better country that overalls has retained its values, it's simply beautiful and for those lucky enough to have explored it they will know ... for me its has to be one of the best countries in the world

I'm up for England but with stuff like North put up at the start of this thread, I can see how it could sway the neutral towards the French.

    I know Northy's just havin' a laugh though. ;)

Probably an absolutely crushing and humiliating defeat, say 6-0, is the only way to move our national team forward in the long term.

As it is we'll probably lose 2-1 and nothing will change.

The fact you even asked that question means there's no point trying to explain. You're obviously a little bit thick.

I will be supporting England for sure.

All those footballing attributes come when you learn to express yourself ... The key IMO is to draw on your passion when you need it as the French do. Training to pass well helps but you combine that with a mentality that shows itself as England do then you will be confined to rejoicing the rare and odd victory ... aka beating German in a friendly and winning a world cup by luck ... At times England have played excellent football but that is when expression has been allowed. The players are there no doubt but the heads aren't .. its not as simple as to learn how to pass ... watch the timing of for example of our own French grown Adel ... watch tonight and see that we have not got that definition of time and expression.
Tell me the last time you saw a English player stopped and put his foot on the ball ... apart from the kick off when England will then give it away cheaply.

It's this simple the other team cannot score without the ball ... and we refuse to change and we are still clinging to a dunkirk spirit
