He already was the greatest player IMO.

Although Ronaldo is brilliant too. Ronaldo has all the attributes but Messi just defies the odds time and time again. He shouldn't be good but he is incredible.

I think Marcello was the only regular yesterday for them. They played a really young side.

No doubt Dani Alves, Thiago Silva and Lucio would all start for them usually.

Certainly one of the greatest. Hard to judge against the likes of Pele, Best Jairzhinio etc, cos Messi doesnt come up against the cloggers that those players did.

    It's a tough one.

As Barwell said, it's very hard to compare generations but I do think he's the best ever. If he wins the World Cup and really performs on that stage then I feel he can end any arguments.

He hasn't quite cut it at international level yet though has he? Can't remember him, or Christiano Ronaldo performing well at a major tournament so far, if I remember correctly I don't think Messi even scored last World Cup.

    Excellent.

If he was Britsh he probably wouldn't have been given a chance to make it as he is too small!

British coaches prefer athletes who try hard rather than technical ability. That's why we always struggle at International level.
