Why has the Polish manager come out and said we've agreed to sign Lewandowski?? Nothing said by united at the minute, just seems a bit strange! Took his goal well yesterday in fairness!
Misinformation?? Inferences?? Who knows, the main thing is what Dortmund says and the word coming from them is that they are adament that they are not selling Lewandowski. That position can change quickly, though, if the player comes out and says they wish to leave. We shall see.
You must of been watching a different Bendtner to me, because Lewandowski is twice the player he is, he wasn't too clinical in front of goal for a while but he's certainly found the target regularly this season.
Lets say we sign him. Who is leaving? We are going to play variations on 433 next season more often than not. 442 will be used against weaker sides. So we need just 1 centre forward on the pitch for most games.......we currently have 3 and another 3 on the fringes of the first team. So 6 strikers becomes 7 with Lewandowski. Someone is leaving. When I say we have 3 strikers I am not counting Berbatov. I think hes going so hes not included here. Its hard keeping 4 strikers happy at the best of times but when these strikers include the best English player, the best Polish player, the best Mexican striker and the future of englands strike force someones getting upset. I have a really strange feeling if we sign him that Hernandez and Valencia could be off in the near future, not this window but of all our attacking players, these are the most static. All others can play anywhere in attack so would work in a 4231 style formation or other variations of 433. Barcelona showed how no matter how good a striker you are if you cant play everywhere in attack you are no good.
That's not a good comparison, City don't play Dzeko because he is more of a target man and they want Tevez/Aguero types up front, Lewandowski is much more mobile, and a fair bit quicker than he is.
His movement in the box is poor judging by that Poland game, appears flat footed, doesnt make near post runs as he prefers to stand still and wait for the header. Not for me, definitely not at the expense of DW`s development.
It was a misinterpretation and the gutter presser failed to include "in my opinion" in their rumours which the Polish manager used when he was talking abut moves to bigger clubs for the likes of Lewandowski.
