I really didn't have a lot of time for Keys.

My one abiding memory of him was his ability to ask a question to one of his co hosts and then persistently talk over them.

He also had more hair on his hands than I do on me bolly bag.

I use the word very sparingly but I dare say the bloke was a bit of a ****.

The fact he got on with Andy Gray says it all.

    Pair of bell ends.

They are both on EUROs duty for talkSPORT where Andy is co-commentating and Richard is presenting. They did the Poland Vs Greece game today and I opted to mute my TV to listen (biggest reason being I don't like Alan Hansen and Mark Bright for BBC).

Regardless of what people think of Andy Gray, he is still the best co-commentator in the business.

My nine year old son talks more sense than Gray.

Just my opinion but Gray is an absolute clown and Keys is even worse.

Mark Bright, well words actually fail me when it comes to him.

Brian Moore, now he was the Daddy.

Best commentator in my lifetime thus far.

I did say co-commentator and not commentator :p but let's agree to disagree on Gray.

oh no i love Peter Levy , he is the nearest thing we have to a real life Alan Partridge .
two stand out moments in telly came from Levy .
    1. was his toe curling interview with a prostitute in a car (he even asked her how much ?) - it was amazing !
    2. his flirting with Helen Prospero , he was a total goof !! i remember blowing my dinner out me nostrils when he proclaimed he wasnt fondling Helen under the table as she was having a giggle fit at the time.

James Corden is a total bell' - great in Gav n Stacey , but his sketch show and anything since is just him getting a laff out of his -sadly - rather normal looking fat belly .
Russell Brand is the biggest tossball on the planet tho , IMO :p

Not a big fan of Chiles, but the one who I really can't stand on ITV is the commentator Clive Tyldsley (sp?). I hate all of the crap little jokes and totally naff referrences to popular culture that he constantly feels the need to add into his commentary. Did anyone hear him commentating on that "soccer aid" charity match, it was cringeworthy. Absolute bell end and indicative of cheesy ITV.

Yep, I'll give you that one. Tyldsley is highly irritating.

Out of all the ITV commentators Peter Drury is by far the best.

    He's way better than Tyldsley.

Peter Drury went to Hull Uni I believe and follows us closely, also he is a good commentator, Tyldesley is terrible but I like Jim Beglin alongside him he makes it a bit more listenable

Drury and Beglin would be a highly listenable combo as I also agree regarding Beglin.

He talks a fair bit of sense does the fella.

Is he a Man Utd fan? He doesn't seem to be able to get through a match without mentioning them, even when they're not playing.

I find decent pundits/commentators/presenters are in short supply.

Special mention to the thread's subject - Chiles is indeed a talentless tit. His main job is being able to speak properly and guide the program. He can't speak without stammering and 'erring' incessantly. It's a bad habit he's gone into, especially considering what his ****ing job is. **** Chiles.

Think ITV have done well to get Roy & Patrick together. Clearly it will not be in any way explosive, they've both mellowed and will get on with the job, but guaranteed to get people watching.

Also, Alan Shearer. Looks like he's aged 10 years since the end of the Premiership season. What's happened?

I've noticed that as well. It's even worse when he commentates on one of their games.
He nearly starts crying if they go behind and you can almost hear him knocking one out when they score and no I'm not exaggerating.

Defo a Man Utd fan and a massive bell end.

Agree, Chiles is a man who has been promoted well beyond his low level of mediocrity, even more so annoying if he has had fun with Frank's squeeze.

Garth Crooks irritates the hell out of me, the way he talks and comes across, it's as if he went on a speaking course and was told to keep pausing like he's constipated or something.

Plus, glad to see John Motson is less used these days.

You're in the minority of liking Peter Drury then NFU. Even ITV are having second thoughts about him and have decided not to renew his contract with them (although he may still get work as a free-lance). Yes Peter Drury did go to Hull Uni and went to alot of games at Boothferry Park when he was here.

Another Hull link is Rob Hawthorne for Sky. He used to work for Radio Humberside and now is Sky's second rank commentator behind the legendary Martin Tyler.

I met Chiles in a club in West London recently, he was actually quite a good laugh.

Better than he is on the telly.
