I think it's going to be our very own John Terry, because no matter what, he'll claim it was him, even if he has to score own goals like when you play FIFA & get pissed off!
As some people have said already, it's a bit of a lottery when there are only 6 matches max. If you look at the PL top scorer chart after 6 games it might look very odd because it isn't long enough to get a good reflection. You could be top scorer with 3 or 4 goals. I'd go with van Persie just for his sheer quality on front of goal. Some of his goals this year have been ridiculous; volleys from such awkward angles that most players would miss-hit 100 times but he has scored 5 or 6 of them this season. He's been amazing. That said if I was going to bet I'd pick an England player. I find it annoying even in Fantasy Football when you back a player and he ends up playing against your team, so I just avod it altogether. Since Rooney will miss 2 games (we're unlikely to make the final so it'll probably be about half of our games) I'd go with Lampard on the chance he might bang a few.
Our friends The Netherlands seem up for it...
I've gone for Lewandowski. Had a cheeky fiver each on Necid (Czech Republic), Pogrebnyak (Russia) and Samaras (Greece).
The quality in the Poland/Greece game looked very poor, I can't see either of them going far. Russia have been good at times and Czech (even though they're gonna lose) haven't been too bad. I'd fancy them to go through with Russia.
Not sure about the Czechs defence is a bit dodgy, could be home euphoria will get the Poles through, very hard to call it really, I bet they are cursing Szcezny in the Polskie Sklepies down Bev Road tonight!
For some reason, I'm going for France to win so, going by that I'm going to say Benzema top scorer, but not going by that I'm saying Robert lewandowski. And I predicted that before he scored yesterday, so he is my final answer
Saying the Poland v Greece game was poor is an understatement.. it was ****in dire. My mate said the Poles would still beat England Lewandowski looked good and that Sarpingidis (sp) was the inspiration for the Greek comeback. Russia should walk that group now. Quite a display by them, despite the Czechs being poor apart from their goal, which was brilliantly taken. Wouldn't want to be in the city next week when Poland play Russia- that'll kick off easy. They hate each others guts. For top goal scorer- outside bet Pavyluchenko? Jelavic is a good shout.
I don't think he'll be top scorer, but how good did Arshavin look yesterday? Back to the player he used to be, running the show and damaging the Czechs all the time. Class.
Aye, it's all about his attitude. When he's on it, can be a little genius. Thought Russia looked quite handy.
He sliced the ball so many times. Over eager maybe. Looking forward to the games today, some big clashes already. As for top scorer, I'll take a completely uneducated stab in the dark at Llorente.
