The decision might be taken out of UEFA's hands.

If two or three teams decide to pull out the whole tournament could spiral into total chaos.

If UEFA decide to take sanctions against any team that that pulls out that could lead to other teams pulling out as a show of unity.

    Who knows?

    Interesting times ahead me thinks.

DMD where are you? I thought you would already be on the case with this thread you slacker.
Well as you my be otherwise occupied I'll help you out by giving the standard DMD philosophy on the subject:
    A) There is no evidence that racial abuse has taken place because scientists have yet to test the minds of those making monkey noises.
    B) There is no proof that the people in question are not simply monkey lovers who choose to make this noise to support their favourite species.
    C) No-one actually even knows if racism exists. My view is that it is no more than a concept and should only be regarded as bullying.
    D) Anyway this thread should now be locked because it is discrimination to discuss racism instead of my favourite smokescreen subjects such as; Sexism, over-weightism, ageism etc.
I hope I've covered everything to your satisfaction DMD. I haven't been able to saturate each point with a flood of verbal diarrhea like you do to erode people's will to debate and I won't be repeating myself with 500 more posts to erode people's will to live. But otherwise I've done my best sir.

Without a doubt. Say England, France and Holland did pull out I would expect Spain and Germany to follow suit. Then UEFA would have to act.

Tickles me how stupid people believe that unless you tow the party line on racism, you must be a racist.

The even more stupid ones make up silly quotes that don't come close to representing what's been said.

It's as if they're frightened of discussion because deeep down, they can see the gaping great holes in their argument.

Ha ha...I didn't occur to me at first, but I've just realised why you're so bitter. You're that one that ****ed up by jumping in on the wrong point the other week because you didn't know what a concept is. :cheesy:

Although I agree Poland and the Ukraine should never have been given the Euros, maybe it'll have some benefits. I, like many I think, wasn't aware of how bad the situation of racism was over there. With it being so exposed at the moment, it's embarassing for the 2 nations that they seem to be stuck in the dark ages. Could have a similar affect to Little Rock in 57 where it finally causes the Government to acknowledge the problem and do something about it.

I was looking forward to this tournament, it may well end in disaster if teams decide to boycott the tournament altogether, oh well, just have to wait untill the World Cup in Brazil, at least there they don't have any trouble <whistle>

I dont think that there is any doubt that the tournament will start - but how or will it finish is the question ?

Interesting that No UK MP is going and other Vips from others countries are also staying away. Shame. So many unsold tickets and so many unsold and expensive hotel rooms.

I think FIFA will be hoping its a disaster, then when they have their World Cup disaster they'll hopefully be able to say 'Its not as bad as the Euros".

I think Aggers hit the nail on the head, the other night after the Panorama programme, these two countries have had over a century of opression set on them and haven't been able to bring about their own national identity. Naturally, as things open up and new ways/ political thinkings reach these nations, the general populace don't like what they see. You can't compare the Western European countries and there, because we've had decades of getting used to it.

    Platini's stupid comments haven't helped.

I noticed alot of teams have made a day trip to Auschwitz. Wonder if the Germans will be doing the same.

It's ironic that there are more open minded people in Germany now, and more facists and Nazis in Poland, weird how society has panned out like this

My god, what a set of tossers. Something needs to be done about the people at the top of football at the moment, not just in terms of racism but they are just so out of touch it's unreal. It feels like football is a French/Swiss/Belgian game that we are just joining in with the way this European lot just take over and do everything their way. We're totally losing our game. English values (or those of other countries for that matter) are completely absent from the game now. It just seems to be whatever suits these French people best that goes. **** off Blatter, Platini and the rest of 'em.

The trouble is that the higher echelons of football are very much like the Olympic Committee. It's a very lucrative job for as long as they want it and no-one has the power to question their decisions - no matter how ridiculous or corrupt they are.

Whether they are protesting or not does that make it fair? Does that mean we should make money chants at the World Cup 2018 for not getting it? If we did the world would kick us out of every competition for 50 years, just because its minor countries doesn't make it fair.

Before DMD says something to me i condone all forms of abuse, and they shouldn't be allowed, however the colour of your skin is not something you can change, you can choose to lose weight.

The German players will probably have been there. Germany makes a point of pointing out what happened there to their school kids, unlike Japan who deny their equally repellant atrocities.

With Russia being racist as well, it is strange how decades of communism end up with the most racist people whereas it disappeared pretty quickly after the defeat of the Nazis.

There are a lot more racist countries around the world but don't let's mention them as they are non-white and only whites can be racist of course.
