So what were the repurcusions for the out of control johnson apart from humiliating Barton at the darts?

You say that, but I got banned from your board, still without any warning or explanation, merely for going on one thread and joking. I didn't say anything aggressive, bigoted or insulting, I just got banned for joking!

Also, you can hardly rib Beefy (if you'll pardon the pun...) for having a bloke in his avatar when your name is "swords". Are they pork?

Great thread and contributions from the Geordies. I can't help but be over the moon with this appointment.

Robbiati's opening gambit seems a distant memory! <doh>

Great to hear so many positive comments from both the Geordies and the Brum fans. Can't help feeling we've come out of this very well.

As one Dutch contributor on the BBC webpage put it 'NCFC have exchanged batons MOST successfully' <laugh>

    Couldn't agree more.

Ah I see! There's always one isn't there? I haven't got much to say to a QPR fan apart from thank you very much for Les Ferdinand - and thanks for taking Joey Barton off our hands!

Norwich-Newcastle games have always been crackers with lots of football being played. Next year should be no exception. Best of luck to the toon army except for those two matches!

Rob might not like this but we've always had a good rapport with their neighbours too.Must be because we all share that North Sea air.

Our last game against you was a disaster, Pardew had an absolute mare!

Granted we were decimated by injuries, but playing 5"9 Danny Simpson at CB against a side who score more headed goals than any other in the league?

Also, I'd like to echo the Barton sentiments! I used to have a lot of time for him, but he has burned bridge after bridge and I have no doubt he will be soundly booed when he returns to SJP ...ripping into Shearer without provocation is like walking into a nunnery with a box of Jesus shaped dildos - pointlessly offensive! And that craic about 'wanting to take one of the City players with me' ... Yes, because being kicked in the back of the leg is always grounds for a dismissal isn't it Joseph...

To be honest, there's a decent relationship between our lads and theirs on here...There's the odd ****er, but for the most part they're a decent bunch of lads who just like a good debate, I'd go onto their board for a bit of craic almost daily!

Sir Bobby would be turning in his grave at that comment.

Newcastle know a good manager when they see one, that's why they sacked him <doh>
