Yohan Cabaye - France England 1-1 France - Matchday 1 Had a good game in midfield for France tonight and was a goal threat for them aswell with 2 well struck strikes.
Robert Lewandowski - Poland Poland 1-1 Greece - Match Day 1. Lewandowski started brightly and was rewarded with the opening goal of Euro 2012 when he scored in the first half. He was poor in the second half but overall thanks to his goal a good start to the tournament for him.

After matchday 1 think Croatian Luka Modric looked the best player of all our supposed targets. He was lively and silky throughout the game and looked a class above anyone on the Ireland side. Baines and Strootman have yet to play for their sides.
