    Agree with ruff though that generally psv produce good players and if he is a starter for the Dutch he can't be bad. That said I hate that van bommel **** ..

    Hes a risk is jesus. Hes got a reputation for performing miracles but also going missing for days at a time before returning. Fergie doesnt like party animals and this guy can literally turn water into wine hes so crazy!

    No, I'm not sold on getting Baines either. That said, if the long term plan is Fabio and Baines is coveer until Fabio is good enough then it's not too bad, but Baines is an expensive stop gap.

    I agree that £20m is a lot for Baines but the "especially for a player at 27" comment is a little strange. That is in the midst of a players prime and you would expect it to be the peak of their value too...<doh>

    PS - I actually think Baines is the best left back in the country bar A.Cole. I wanted Liverpool to try for him last year prior to us getting Enrique. I would hate to see him join Man Utd, I'd have to start disliking him <ok>
