Him and Vidic at united would be UNBEATABLE!


Name me 5 players that have ever got a 100% tackling record for a whole year in 1 league, and a fair few games in the hardest league in the world!
 
They are good defenders that we have but they dont stick to defending .

They keep playing too high up the pitch and we are getting caught on the counter far too many times.

Wenger should tell them their job is to MAKE SURE THEY DONT SCORE ! period.

Let the attackers worry about getting the goals .

Do your own feckin job and we wont concede 49 bleeding goals .

@MrWright. Funny you should say that. Was having a discussion at work about United's defence yesterday and we were saying how well that could work. Koscielny's pace/tackling ability would complement Vidic's brute strength and arial prowess superbly. F*ck it, let's buy Vidic ;)
 
JJSB - this is exactly it - good cop/bad cop, beast defender/footballing defender. We only have footballing defenders, I've said we've needed a brute, a no nonsense defender who can defend and get ugly. A Kos/Vermaelen partership will NOT make us solid, neither does any combo including Mertesacker, he isn't strong/brutish enough. None of our CBs are commanding and dominating.
