my favourite is rickie lambert song and my most disliked is we're the northam/kingsland over here what's yours? title is supposed to be most disliked, i don't know why i typed most worst
Yellows, Steeeeeeve & our regular out of time attempts at a slow version of oh when the saints makes us sounds ******ed :/
The first tim I heard a "Yellow" song was at the '76 Cup Final. However, it was sung with with a big emphasis on the "Yell". So, "Come on you YELLows". Liked it then. Who remembers "Ooh wat wat do wat do wat wat"?
Two of my favourites from last season where "Going Up Up Up!", which hopefully we won't be singing again for a long long time, and "Dun da dun da dun dun, F***in Useless!", which wasn't exclusive to us of course, but always made me smile. The De Ridder one was awful, sounded like we were taking the p***, and I'm pretty sure it must of put him off every time he got the ball.
The worst has got to be; "Get into 'em, **** 'em up" or "Wo-oh, wo-oh, we are Southampton Boys." The first just because of the cringe-factor, the second because of the lack of originality, coupled with the fact that we just do not have a 'hard' fan base, and therefore trying to sound intimidating is just pathetic. My favourite; "Come on Saints, you can beat this sh*t!" Always brings a smile to my face, particularly when sung against the likes of Arsenal/Utd etc Sadly, I don't think we have too many original songs.
lallalalalalalalalala hey heyyyyyyy steve de ridder is an awful song. im sorry, just isn't a great chant. should be the maxi rodriquez song, but instead say stevie de ridder. tadanari lee always creates a chuckle.
It amazes me how people cant learn that when we sing OWTS slowly it is sung TWICE slowly. Every single time half the northam start singing it quick only to reliaze that it everyone else is still singing slowly. I mean how hard is it, twice instead of once. That pisses me off but when its sung well and everyone gets involved it sounds great and it is our song after all. Also 'we are southampton were premier league' against coventry was the best ive ever heard st marys all four sides geting involved goosebump moment!
I like the Tadanari song and also the Lambert one of course. Least Favourite? "Get into 'em, **** 'em up"
Favourite is Na na na na ........... na na na na F**k Off, love it because the opposition fans think we have a lovely song lined up and then the F**k off hits them, LOVE IT Least Favourite Yellows, too boring
But is it?....I stand to be corrected but I cant recollect OWTS being sung twice (or even once) slowly in the past. I think that Spurs highjacked our song and they introduced the slow verses. The problem is it makes it a dirge, usually started during a lull in play but takes so long that before the end of the second verse something distractingly exciting occurs on the pitch and the song dwindles out. Tell me the history of the slow verses. I hate Spurs singing it slowly I like us singing it a normal tempo. I would only sing it slow if we were losing 3-0 with 5 minutes to go in a defiant mood a la Liverpool YNWA
Really? Like really? Whenever I hear that I can't help but cringe, and I'm sure the opposition just laugh at it.
Hated the Conners is back from the dead song. As Conners showed his dislike as well. Secretly thought the Barnard Well Hard song was funny.
