At the request of Mary, I have arranged a poll on our new home kit.

There is another thread for comments on the new sponsor so no need to post here <ok>

If we had to have another name on the away kit, I would like mine to be 'All Hell Pumps' or 'Cool Air Let Loose'

    <cheers>

I like the plain shirt, I for one have reached an age and shape where I won't wear anything without a collar. All shirts are ruined by any sponsors logo but I am grateful to them for paying for putting it there. I get the feeling there is a bigger plan which has led to the one year deal.
I don't understand anyone caring who the sponsor is really, so long as they don't have ethical concerns, it's just a way of generating income.

Love it. It's a polo shirt, so it's sound. I'll probably get home and away. Also thinking of getting the black Everton away shirt for the same reason, and half thinking of getting a navy England one too.

Aesthetically, the Air Conditioning logo is cool (see what I did there). Seriously though it's fine. Neat and looks ok on the shirt.

    Am a happy bunny.

I'll say it, I don't like it, the colour is too dark for a Charlton kit, looks like the last Arsenal kit at Highbury, the sponser I have no worries apart from the fact I was hoping for a big name rather then a small one and a short contract... basically I just don't like the colour... horrible kit sorry Nike

Reckon it's a lot closer to last season's kit than the Arsenal one. Albeit not as bright

That said, the photo half way down the sponsor article looks brown. What a strange photo to attach to the club website when the main pic on that article looks a completely different shade

My first thought when I saw it after the Hartlepool match was that Nike had made to many Arsenal shirts for the last season at Highbury and that we had got them as a bargain deal but the colour had faded a bit over time. That doesn't worry me to much since I seem to recall reading that the history of our kit was that it was originally second hand from Arsenal before they were relocated and since they have been relocated again it is only history repeating itself.

The colour change does differentiate us from other clubs in red since even the bluebirds appear to have gone for the bright red option, and the colour appears to be more maroon than anything else. It has the ability to grow on me and I wont dismiss it out of hand but "air conditioning for the fans " will undoubtedly be part of a Claridge put down next season if we don't romp the league and if the away kit carries their other products it could well be associated with bilge pumps.

Mind you better a successful local business than a multinational company supported by an IMF bailed out bank or worse a British tax payer bailed out bank.

Given our new sponsors range of products can you think of any other put downs we are likely to be on the receiving end of?

My guess would be that 'Arry Redknapp will think it's a remedy for split ends <ok>

I'm a fan - I don't mind a slightly different shade for a change (it's not exactly radical) and I've wanted a simple kit for years, with no stupid white nonsense banded all over. I know we have white in our colours, but we really have seen some odd designs incorporating it.

The sponsor - I think we all feel underwhelmed as we all let ourselves believe that it was going to be 02. It's grown on me since yesterday, and if the rumours are true about it being one of the biggest sponsorship deals in the Championship (which I think it might be due to the Sykes group only committing for the year), then it can only be a good thing.

We'll be just like Manure and Chelski in having a kit for 12 months then changing it :D

I think I might wait for the next one, unless the away one has some promise?

Talking of kits, i see the sports shops are stocking retro England shirts, including 66 and 90.

Definitely getting the Euro 96 throwback.

I like it though I would have preferred the sponsor logo to look a bit different as the logo itself looks a bit rushed?

other than that I like the shirt and i'll be buying it + other merchandise as soon as the store re-opens

Reckon it'll be some stripey rubbish. With a fruity cider across it.

    Video is brilliantly crap though.

You're right, maybe some fresh air will help.
