That's impressive. Hardly anyone would do that these days. Shows he knows what the club means to the fans. Always liked Newcastle as I have family who used to live there. Went up for a visit round the city and a trip down memory lane which was fantastic. Didn't know you got Tiote, Cabaye, Ben Arfa and Santon all for £14.50 that's impressive!
Yeah, I agree...I hope for our sake there's not another Graham Carr out there for him to recruit, but if there is, Hughton is probably the guy to do it...Just look at our player's reactions to his sacking, we beat Liverpool 3:1 in our next game (Pardew was appointed the day before) and in the post-game interview Barton and Nolan just stood there looking ashen faced, and dedicated the MOTM champagne to him!
Aye my Grandparents (and a few cousins) live in Norfolk (closish to Swaffham) so would be down that way a lot when I was younger...Used to hate the walks to Swaffham market - "I don't know if that 2nd hand plate would go really well with your ornamental teapot, I'm 10 ffs!" but it's a nice part of the country - My gran loves to tell how sunny it is - Belfast and County Durham tend not to be!
Congratulations boys, I think you've made the right appointment. Worked wonders at the two Clubs hes Managed so far, both with different sets of circumstances. I actually can't think of anyone more suited to the post than Hughton. He'll work well with what you've got and won't have to spend Millions. In fact, Swansea seem to be indentifying the perfect Candidate for their particular needs as well. Holloway would be ideal for them. Kudos to your Board for acting quickly and not dithering, FA-style. They probably could've handled the Lambert situation better but they've made up for it now.
Appreciate your comments Swords and totally agree with your comment re the board's handling of the Lambert situation.
to the geordies who have taken the time to come over and wish hughton and ourselves luck. best of luck to you boys in europe next season. shame it wasn't champions league
Cheers. It's about time someone broke into the top 4 yeah. It might be difficult for us next season with extra games in the Europa but we'll see. Let's hope both clubs can get into the top 8, that would do nicely!
Holloway was my first choice but well pleased with Chris Hughton.Just saw him on the telly-box and I could understand what he was saying - that's a first for three years.
Why have you still got the picture of a bloke as your avatar? I'm sure your boyfriend loves you sharing his mug with the entire World-Wide-Web. (If you are genuinely a homosexual, I apologize for ribbing you - There's nothing wrong with your orientation.)
