Laudrup now odds-on with most bookies. After having a different favorite every day I'm not sure if this is any difference. But his odds are much shorter then the rest were. If Jones has turned down the Swansea job, then why hasn't there been n official announcement that he's staying at Wigan? That no-one's saying anything might mean he's still in with a chance. Huw is managing keeping this top secret. But he also said he's close to announcing the new manager. Let's hope it's this week.
Sky are loving this. They post some fallacy in the news and SkyBet rake in all the money. Let's be honest (and I hope I'm proved wrong) there's only one club in the premiership that Bergkamp would go to for coaching/management and that's Arsenal. Like Huw said they'll go about things quietly and I'm sure they'll get the right guy. I don't think we'll hear anything for a couple of weeks and hope they'll have someone in place by the time the players get back from holidays. That said this silence is killing me.
Lots of things all over twitter about Laudrup 'wanting' the job - but none of the links have any substance to them...... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2155679/Michael-Laudrup-wants-Swansea-job.html?ITO=1490&utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter
Haven't checked the odds myself but was responding to neveroffsidereff's comment. Regardless, Sky are still making loads of money off this. If it is to be Laudrup then happy days.
Laudrup, as I write, is now ODDS ON with every major bookie on oddschecker so a lot of punters seem confident he will get the job. BUT, it is Huw and the Board who will make the decision, so who knows? Huw has a record of unpredictability in this situation. Graeme Jones has not gone away either and remains about 3/1 with Olly just behind. For some reason, unfortunately, Poyet has fallen away and is being offered at tens and twelves - perhaps the compo Brighton would demand is too rich for our blood.
What I said yesterday! "another customer better, employed by the club! "Chelsea has offered di matteo a 1 year contract" but when I asked about Laudrup he avoided the question and didnt comment????" I recon its him and he couldn't comment! but its all speculation so id better be careful!
Laudrup drifting and GJ closing!!!!!! http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/swansea-specials/next-permanent-manager
I dont know casual but it might have been a factor.....I think if he tells huw he is available then he would be huw's first choice and will definately get the job.....
Well BBC are reporting that we are in for Laudrup, even though we haven't made a move on him, they say we are about to though, but how they determine that I don't know, perhaps the tooth-ferries told them ? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18325287
Don't listen to BBC wales-on this mornings 0600 news <your time> two presenters took a cheap shot at us saying Berkamp seen at Morgans hotel and one of them chipped in with " and so was Jose Moreino".They can't take it that we are Prem.
To be fair to the BBC they did report that BR was going to have talks with Liverpool, even while HJ was denying it. And they were right. Don't know about BBC Wales, but BBC in general seem to speculate on things with at least some substance, unlike the newspapers, who just make things up. But this next manager speculation is just going around in circles. Nothing would surprise me anymore.
