It is another non-football thread but then it is the close season so here are my thoughts on the event at Roland Garros.

For those with a week off I hope you are enjoying the French Open, grunting and the awful outfits that some players don for the event, aside! How many of us like Andy Murray's bizarre combination - white baseball cap, grey top, red shorts and grey socks which makes England's second strip look OK by comparison? Mind you he's in good company with poor dress sense - Federer's awful all grey attire! Anyhow, who am I to criticise when these guys can play brilliant tennis and have earnt millions into the bargain. If players insist on playing in colourful gear then they should take a leaf out of Nadal's cool look for this year - red, white and white, or the yellow and white of his opponent.

Back to the tennis! It's good to see a Mexican and Polish partnership doing well in the Mixed Doubles.

He is being paid to wear the clothing, I wouldn't care what it was if Adidas etc. paid me to wear their attire.

Exactly..these guys are being paid millions to wear these kits...I'd go out in a bikini for that money! And give Murray some credit! He's playing in the greatest ever era of tennis. He's already achieved so much more then Henman and is still only 25.

Murray played a clay court specialist that he couldn't beat before. He wasn't ****e...it was a good game and he was beaten by a better player. Hate his black shoes...he has always worn them. They make him look like he wandered in off the street.

He was ****ing dreadful I sat and endured it.

Could hardly get the ball over the net and then once losing did his back pain saga.

    Horrible Scottish cretin.

SFA stick to football. You clearly don't know much about tennis. Ok he could have played better but when you come up against a better clay court player there is little you can do! On any other surface Murray would have won but clay is more specialised. Ferrer grew up playing on the stuff!

That's WHY they are top 3 in the world! And arguably the top 3 players to ever play the game! 4th in the world is by no means poor! If Murray played in the early 2000's he would have won numerous slams. The fact that Hewitt won slams during that period says it all

Only in tennis would someone so consistently in the top four in the world be reffered to as sh***e. Henman was a top top player but just not quite good enough to ever win a slam still an exceptional player. Murray is even a little bit better who has the potential his problem is there are three of the greats playing all at the same time I think he will do one day probably the Oz!
