Might be wrong here, but I can barely remember any other occasions when managers have left and this condition has been placed upon the club. As has been said, if players want to move and follow the manager you are better off getting money for them then having an unhappy player. I also think the fact that Rodgers has signed one at Liverpool is a bit hollow. Who from Swansea would he actual want to sign for Liverpool? The one player he would want, and who Swansea wouldn't want to lose, is Sigurdsson, who is now going to sign for Liverpool anyway!
Think Scott Sinclair, Nathan Dyer. Leon Britton and Ashley Williams would walk in that Liverpool team. Downing, Rodriguez, Spearing etc. all so over rated players imo
It's almost exactly three years since he joined the club. At that time we were managed by Bryan Gunn, had just the remnants of a board, a less than impressive squad, had been relegated to our lowest point in fifty years and were carrying a £25 million debt which left us on the brink of administration. He changed the manager, restructured the finances, and has worked tirelessly behind the scenes to rebuild the club. Given where we are today, top flight and well on the way to being debt free, you may want to revise your closing statement
Why don't you tweet him and tell him you think he's incompetent mate? I'm sure he would be only too happy to reply
For a defining moment in the meaning of incompetence, you need look no further than your own spurious attempts at wumming!
Lambert's contract is still something we don't really know for sure about, so wouldn't want to comment directly. However, given he was on a one year rolling contract, I doubt it'll make all that much difference re: compo. On offereing our best player a contract, I regard Pilkington as our best player, but I guess you mean Holt. As far as we know, Holt asked for more money than the club were in a position to pay and a length of contract that at this stage is not right for the club. McNally is right. On a 12 month block, I don't think it's needed. Other clubs would still be free to bid for our players, so what difference would it really make? If there are players that don't want to be here, sell them. So, in summary, I can't answer the first one but I don't think it really matters very much, the second point I'm with McNally and the third I don't think is significant.
flyer please just shut up. You were desperately trying to find reasons why McNally was crap last week on the QPR board, and couldn't grasp the simple idea that spurious tabloid speculations do not equal facts. You just want something anti Norwich to latch on to, and you seem annoyed that Norwich have rallied around McNally and are not too bothered by recent events. EVEN IF everything you say is true, we STILL think he's been amazing for us. in 3 years from 66th to 12th and from the edge of financial ruin to the edge of financial self sufficiency. THATS why hes a legend. Now unless you've got some great insight to add, do shut up.
Battersea, problem is he believes ANYTHING the papers print. There is a huge difference between the truth and what the papers say. Anything negative said about Norwich flyer will hold on to despite everything else suggested otherwise. Best thing to do is ignore him or add him to your ignore list. I certainly will be considering it!
especially when writing about football. seems to be no need for journalistic integrity if a round ball is involved
nice change to the commandments wonky! id change my profile picture but i feel like its kind of works better as a put down as well!
Look my mockney pal, we aren't about to be lectured to on how to run a football club by a QPR fan. The way you run your club is a national joke.
I hope your sitting down Norwich fans, because i'm going to back you up here. Flyer you are talking complete bollocks, McNally is of the very best CEO's out there, i would hope that our bloke could be half as good as him, but in fact he is a total knob and that is a big reason why we are in the mess we are in.
Thanks . But is Houghton worthy enough to have his name in there yet? May have to look at some new bible verses! Will be keeping the verses on McNally up though!
