as my previous post is now all about Leicestan, I d like to congratulate the Yorkshire Post for having the Professionalism to be the first to tell it as it is. Our local amateurs revel in the term 'Breaking the News'. I wonder which of the usual suspects will be the first to claim: "You heard it here first".

I know HDM is poor, and I know there's a tendency on here to **** into the Yorkshire Post sock, but let's not put them on such a high pedestal.

It makes me cringe a bit.

 

I'm going to buy Yorkshire post to see why people seem to knock one out over the newspaper.

For ****s sake. Mike White broke the story about 10 days ago, and has stuck to his guns, not just jumped on the bandwagon in the last couple. Get over it.

Not that my opinion matters, but I will give Mike all the credit he deserves for his 'personal' opinion delivered through twitter. Mike is a good bloke and Professionally better than some of the amateurs locally. I d have liked someone to have come out in print, or voice, or whatever to use their 'official' media outlet to tell viewers, readers or listeners the latest 'news' instead of all the sitting on the fence stuff they come out with, whilst trying to make what they cal news out of tittle-tattle..

 

As I said the other day Mussie, until they have a watertight source the BBC wouldn't commit and that's right. The YP could go further and that's right too. The HDM have been poor on this whole saga. Clearly, as you rightly pointed out MW's personal tweets - which are not attributable to the BBC and to quote 'represent his own personal view' have continually suggested Bruce. Oddly, he pushed the boat out last Friday on Sportstalk when he argued with the HDM chap who categorically said that Bruce wasn't in the frame. Mind you unless something has changed - we've had no announcement as yet ...
