I see Cardiff's owners have ignored their fan's protests and changed their shirt colour from blue to red and their badge from a bluebird to a dragon to appeal to the Asian market...

What would our reaction be to something similar?...

Our reaction? Not at all good but 'he who pays the piper, calls the tune', I guess. Thank the Lord for Tony, Amit and Co.

Makes me laugh how people can just change all the history of a club just like that. It was the same with us changing 'Jude the cat' because some fat muppet who didn't stay around long, decided it was unlucky from where he came from. It is also the same with our badge, why did we ever need to change it? Cant these people just leave things in place?
The clubs were here before these moneymen from abroad and will be there long after they are gone.

Can you imagine if TF decided that the 'Hoops' were unlucky and he wanted us playing in all red?

The thing is, if you look back through the history of the shirts of many, many teams, QPR included, then you'd see that they changed umpteen times. The Rs have played in dark & light blue halves, green and white hoops and an all-white strip (amongst others) in the past. We're all conservative about some things that we hold dear and typically don't like change.

The 'Devon Lochs' won't mind a bit if the team start winning, get promoted to the PL and enjoy a long period of success and financial stability.

Whilst I'm no fan of the narrow hoops we've had to endure recently, it becomes a bit of a superfluous issue alongside success.

It'll be interesting to see what develops at Cardiff. The owners are putting a lot of money in and will be expecting success. The fans will be fuming and it will be interesting to see what they do. They may choose to boycott games/season tickets or, and in my opinion a better option, only wear the away shirt which is blue. Can you just see their first home game where the team wear red and the ground is a sea of blue?

My fear is that if they do eventually succeed with this other Asian owners may do the same. My hope is that TF is smart enough to realise that our Hoops are 'not negotiable'...

Wouldnt even want to think about it.......small changes over time, such as modernising the badge or changing mascot are fine....but changing your nickname or your identity is wrong.

TF would never do this, as he is in touch with what makes a Football club a Football club.....The Fans.

Absolutely shocking decision. Criminal. Owners have thrown the fans a bit of money, told them drop their pants and taken them up the wazoo. But its cardiff so I couldn't give a s***.

Weve already done it to our away kit and they sold the red and white 3rd kit at terminals an on planes.

As long as they dont touch the home kit.

I have no objection to Air Asia and Caterham Cars adopting blue and white hoops for their planes and F1 cars. If TF wants to get peoples' attention, that's definitely the way to go!

As for Cardiff, tradition aside (as it would have to be to achieve unfamiliar prem football!), the red makes them look very Welsh. Not sure about the black though. White shorts with green trim would complete the picture for me.

Wrexham already have the white shorts and maybe even green socks, they cant just copy them.

Anyone else notice the time of posting in top left corner running ahead of the actual time by 7-8 minutes??

I blame Cardiff, it's the red shift....
