ESPN funded by the disney empire are allegedly (remember Setanta) in it for the long haul and intend to seriously challenge Sky from 2013/2014 for most major sporting events.

Can't understand how come setanta are still going, don't they owe the Premier League £40 million?

Setanta UK went bust, it's a different company outside of the UK.

ESPN are in bed in with Sky, when did you ever see Setanta actually advertised on Sky Sports, or Sky doing a deal whereby you got special deals if you ordered Setanta and Sky Sports together?

I can't believe they got away with making a joint bid for the SPL rights as well, only two companies in the market to buy the Scottish rights and they group together and price fix among themselves to make a joint bid instead of bidding against each other. It was exactly the opposite of what was supposed to happen when the EU tried to break the dominance of Sky over football rights.

Do you own companies listed in Malta, Guernsey, Ireland and the UK? Is it possible to make one owe the other a ton of money and then let it go bust? Come on spill the beans, I don't want to look for another job when me mum's better.

You could do that but you'd go to jail if caught, and when you call in an administrator they are going to ask where all these large transactions are going so you'd have to be good at it.
