I've just tweeted Ian Danter - who is a talksport commentator - asking if he'd heard any whispers. He responded with "He's high on your priority list so I'm led to believe. Anyone who offers over £2m for his services will test Yeung/Pannu resolve". I suppose that's nothing we didn't already know.
I wonder what I will come back too in 2 weeks time as I'm off on my honeymoon in Mexico Hughton as manager, with IC as no2 and Nathan Redmond as one of our new recruits would be a nice welcome home present
If so, then we´ve moved Quickly, which should prove A godsend for planning this year, Whoever it be Will have time to see Who to let leave or to keep here, Chris Hughton, if so Is one who does know The Premier League, at least a bit, Unlucky at Toon Thrown out a bit soon Maybe his face just didn´t fit, And should Cully stay That would make my day And lessen the loss of PL, But soon we shall see Who eventually Takes charge of our next 3 year spell. i hope to god i'm wrong but i still think culverhouse is off - too much pull towards lambert. only way he would stay would be a falling out i'm sure
*NEWSFLASH* YORKIE DOESN'T UNDERSTAND FOOTBALL SHOCKER!! play to your strengths yorkie, sign of a good manager. when you are lumbered with a 6'7" striker, you play to your strengths. he's not been able to bring anyone new in. i've seen them play some good stuff too and newcastle were both a good passing side and a direct team with wingers when called for. as i say, sign of a good manager. i hope he's our manager by the end of the week!
that would go against everything mcnally said the other day though its been widely acknowledged that hughton was the hierarchy's 'plan b' so if its been this quick, it'll be him
Seems strange to me it is taking so long for him to go, and yet so quick to name the new manager. I think when we nicked Lambert, the other two left at the same time as I recall. There has been no official mention about Karsa and Culverhouse from Villa or City, it would seem Karsa is the least likely to move as Villa have probably got something in place for his role already. Its not really adding up at the moment (not to say it won't shortly), perhaps Culverhouse applied for the job?
i agree it's weird. the only thing i can think is that we are (quite rightly) playing hardball with the pair as they are both under contract and we are therefore due compensation from villa, seeing as they got lambert (apparently) scot-free (no pun intended). he surely won't appoint culverhouse as manager though, not after saying what he did the other day about top flight experience - he'd look like a right lemon!
Does anyone know if Culverhouse actually ever wants to manage? Or does he just enjoy coaching. Whoever we bring in I'm sure Mcnally has given it plenty of though and acquired the best for the job. Looks like they will get a full pre season which is also a bonus.
As of tonight we have had no official approach from Norwich so unless he has spoken to your club on the sly (which i highly doubt) then i suspect it may well be somebody else who you have aleady made contact with as your chairman is so confident of naming somebody.
