New City boss to be named within the next 48hrs Mr Foulger has said today at Gt Yarmouth races. It is widely believed to be Chris Hughton as bookies have suspended bets <ok>

This has just been announced on Radio Norfolk, excellent news <party>

If true, congratulations, you're getting a good man and a decent manager there, and if I may so, a more honourable man than who he is replacing.

Of the list associated with the job, he was the stand out prospect, the nightmare week is coming to an end....

And if hughton has cully as his assistant then that is a very decent looking management team <ok>

I don't know how DM will react to the leak if true??

Hughton was always my first choice, but might be a McNally red herring and when new manager is announced tomorrow or Friday, we might see someone completely left field <laugh>

if its true that culverhouse is staying, which appears to be the case from the various reports coming in, then we've got a great managerial team. i'd be stunned if he stays because from the conversations i've had there was no way on earth he'd not go with lambert, so maybe its true that they had a fall out. either way, villa won't have the same guy managing them as managed us if that's the case.

anyway, nothing confirmed as yet, so not going to get my hopes up just yet <ok>

Happy Birthday Crowey, and if it is true we are having Hughton and Culverhouse then great news - we keep the same ethos of young players and get a very good manager tactically in Hughton! And also Lambert doesn't get Culverhouse too, that'll teach him to leave us!

You may well name your manager in the next 48 hours lads but am i right in saying he never named anbody & you are jumping to conclusions because of CH being favourite with the bookies.
Would also add that our local press are saying Culverhouse is also on his way to vile.

You are right in saying nobody has been named and I don't think any if us are jumping to conclusions. However, the bookies rarely get it too far wrong.

I also don't think coming on here is going to make the slightest difference in who we do or don't appoint. Apparently, we will all know in the next 24 hours....

It may well not be Hughton, but at the same time, many things indicate that it probably is. Chief amongst those, if this rumour about our new boss being announced in 48 hours is true, is the time it has taken. We know Hughton was Plan B for many at Carrow Road if Lambert left, which was confirmed by Chris Goreham, our local BBC Norwich City commentator. I simply can't see anyone else having been appointed this quickly if it isn't him.

Michael Foulger said "within 48hrs", so whether it's Hughton or not, we'll know before the weekend <ok>

I saw them play well in Europe when they had a team that wasn't great. I've seen them play to their strengths (Zigic) as they don't have the money to throw thousands and thousands of pounds at Jimmy Bullard.<ok>
