I watched that Turkey game and Nani was extremely wasteful throughout the game, it was far from his best performance and certainly not a good advertisement for his ability.
The game showed that Portugal should of been 5 up if not for him (and a couple of others such as Almeida), his wasteful shooting cost Portugal in the same way if often costs United, if he would just pick the pass instead of the usual long shot then the end product would almost certainly be better, he can be so frustrating to watch at times.
Psycho2k Often Utd don't have enough players who are willing to shoot, take Valencia as an example. When we need a player to take the game and win it for us, would you trust Valencia to do that? I certainly would not. We need a balance at Utd.
I have nothing against shooting from range, but often when he does it the shot is the more difficult option with him not facing directly at the goal and with other options around him in much better positions.
Theres a bit of a difference between the German league and the prem to be fair. Hes a good player but nowhere near as good as Silva. If Chelsea or City had signed Kagawa there is no way you would be saying he is as good as Silva, you are looking through your United tinted glasses again, hes a poor mans David Silva.
De Gea Rafael Vidic Evans Evra Carrick Cleverly (Preferably new signing) Nani Rooney Kagawa Welbeck. Potential to be one of the best sides in the world there. Specially if the attacking 3 of Rooney, Nani, and Kagawa as they can all interchange positions. Welbeck could also drop back and play any of those 3 spots with Rooney push up top or Chicharito sitting up top.
The difference between the Bundesliga and the Premier League isn't as big as people make out, Bayern failed to win that league again yet managed to get to the Champions League final (and to be fair they had more than enough chances to win it) and they haven't beaten the champions Dortmund in something like 6 matches home and away now, including a 5-2 cup final win in which Kagawa tore Bayern apart. The Bundesliga has a lot more quality within the mid table sides than people seem to give them credit for.
Let's wait and see. I remember we bought Ronaldo at the same time and price as a player called Reyes was bought by the Arse. In the first few months all the arse fans ( and pundits) were gloating how they got an exceptional player while we got some trick pony. We all know the rest. I have a very good feeling about Kagawa. He plays in the middle, s nimble, fast and has an eye for goal. What is not to like?
As it's been raining, I've just watched a shedload of videos featuring Kagawa, and the more I see, the more impressed I am. I think his energy and vision are exceptional and the quality of his passing on the edge of the box will provide Rooney/ Hernandez/ Welbeck with just the ball we've been missing in the last third. Great signing.
David Silva? That Spanish bloke who had a good half a season then went invisible? Unimpressive. In fact when Scholes rejoined us he outperformed Silva for rest of the campaign.
