Unfortunately when you are Belgium's lone striker, you're probably going to find yourself marked out of the game. They have some good players but unsurprisingly not a lot of depth. Lukaku has not been very good though.

England have the best defense in the world, no doubt. That's why Hazard and Dembele looked ineffective today. As for the rest of the team, Chamberlain and Welbeck looked sharp, and so did Defoe when he came on. I'd play Rooney and Welbeck up front with Young and Walcott on the wings in a 4-4-2/4-2-3-1. Chamberlain would be best coming on as a sub against tired legs. Gerrard and Parker in the middle. Don't play Milner, he's poor. We can make it to the semis like this.
I know, but I'm talking long-term. I'd have chosen Crouch as cover, but I suppose Hodgson will have to go with Carroll. I imagine for this tournament it will be: Alba, Pique, Albiol, Ramos. Not particularly strong in my opinion.
Manager's had a few weeks and two games..both 1.0. Defensively sound. Not a bad start. Quarter finals perhaps.
Have to agree...showed why they didn't qualify. Great technically but pretty toothless. Think Milner gives us more solidity against a 5 man midfield and gives us good balance.
Oxo was a shadow of the player we know that he can be but the service wasn't that good for him.He did try a few things though even if they didn't always come off.
I agree with you there mate. I think England will play like Greece did in 2004 and play ultra defensive football and scoring by the odd goal.We've got the best back 4 in the tournament.
young should go back on the left, shoot milner. can not believe henderson and downing are there- if your english and making up the numbers for top teams then your in the squad- except richards who I think is a beast of a right back. are there no english players worth a place playing for the likes of norwich, swansea or fulham week in week out. milner has not played a game in 2 months

Pique is good on the ball and pretty strong but he is not as good as Terry,Cahill,Lescott in my opinion.Puyol is a fantastic defender but won't play for Spain in the Euro's.Ramos is a great defender but I wouldn't consider him to be better than anyone we've got...Capdevilla has hardly played for Benfica and is nowhere near as good as Ashley Cole and Albiol is a not bad...
