Sunderland still in for Johnson 07:00 PM 01 June, 2012 Sunderland Football Club are still very much in the hunt for Adam Johnson. The former Middlesbrough winger has struggled to nail down a starting place at Manchester City, and this has cost him a place in Englandâs Euro 2012 squad. Whilst Johnson has previously stated that he is happy to fight for his future at the Etihad Stadium, this omission could force a rethink over the summer. Martin OâNeill has long been linked with the 24-year-old, who was born in Sunderland, and an offer of £7million could land his signature. still think this one will come off
would love it if we got him, him on the right, McClean on the left and Sess through the middle would cause mayhem and would be a statement to the likes of Sess and McClean that we seriously have ambition and want to move forward and they should stick aroun I would imagine he would cost more than 7m like, isn't that how much they signed him for? I know they are loaded but they won't give there players away, more around 12-15m I would of thought
Would love it to happen, would be such a statement signing for us. I just can't see it, but I'll gladly be proved wrong on this!
7 million sounds like a barGain I diont think Man City need sess so I cant see him being part of the deal
well i can see this coming off, along with a few others we have been mentioned with. this story has been running a couple of months now.
N'Zogbia ran for about 24 month mate. Everything seems wrong with this, the price is far too low and I just can't see us being the best option available to him if Man City do let him go.
hope your wrong, but we need a player or two get the excitement back in the crowds, a few good players and the big crowds could come flooding back, all we need to push on is a few gems.
exactly this, he's worth double that imo, unless ellis is going to blow us away this is a none story, we're kidding ourselves if we think we could sign him, even on loan especially if we sign this guidetta fella (you're only allowed 1 player on loan per club), and i agree johnston would have better options, sadly, also sess isnt good enough for city
