Either that or the Allams have insisted that anyone who leaks information about discussions won't be considered for the job. Therefore everyone denies any approach.
Billy Davies would be a solid choice, decent record in the championship, but whoever it is needs to get the budget contraints from the Allams in black and white before they sign any contracts.
I know I will be shot down in flames for saying this but I fear that with the Allam's approach ie running things as a business that whatever they are saying to possible managers is putting them off. Maybe some of their ideas are good for the long term running of the club and maybe its other clubs that need to change as well but you can't change the world overnight. Until other clubs come in line with the way we are doing things we might not be such a good job prospect.
considering the financial fair play rules then more clubs may adopt the same business model we seem to be be following. having a coaching team where they are not all leaving once the manager leaves - look at rodgers and pearson for example, is good for stability and worked well at liverpool in the past. so it may need a brave manager to come in to begin the era of transformation
If I win with my bets on the Derby tomorrow then I will have a bet on Mcarthy as manager, being a Yorkshireman makes him just about acceptable as compared to other candidates like the runt Davies, and he is slightly less crazy than Bruce which is probably a good thing
Seriously stop saying it's Mick McCarthy. He is going to the Euros working as a co-commentator for the BBC.
That's got nothing to do with it. I distinctly remember someone, although not sure who (O'Neil with Villa maybe?) being appointed whilst out at a tournament as a summariser cos it was talked about when he was working that night. I'm not saying it will be Mad Mick, but this isnt a reason for it not to be him.
has anybody followed this page for long? is it reliable? thing is these days is anybody can set up a similar page, calling themseleves an expert and they could be a nobody.. i follow loads of betting tips pages on facebook and half of them are ****e, probably 13 year old kids
I don't know to tell you the truth, I've been trying to figure out the same. It may be a case of him just being very good at keeping up to date with rumour. He did call Rodgers to Liverpool fairy early and seems confident with his calls.
What about Joyce has he been ruled out Or Is the delay due to the Assem going to announce that after considering all options Ehab will be taking the managers role
I don't think Joyce wants to be in the limelight tbh, and what a disappointment it would be if the allams appointed him, don't get me wrong he did a good job on limited resources when he was here, but in sure we could do better.
