Didier Drogba Jose Bosingwa Salomon Kalou Louis Saha
Ryan Nelson Ledley King Pavel Pogrebnyak Michael Owen
Carlos Cuellar Craig Gordon Tomas Kuzszack Hugo Rodallega
Ricardo Fuller Manual Almunia Fabio Aurelio Owen Hargreaves
Salif Diao Jordan Cook Keith Andrews Nicky Shorey Mohamed Diame
Chris Kirkland Marcus Hannaman James McCfadden Andy Johnson
Danny Murphy Danny Guthrie Zak Whitbread Ákos Buzsáky Danny Gabbidon
    Fitz Hal Andrew Davies

These are a list of top profile players that have been released by their clubs according to SSN, out of that list I believe MON will go for:

Ricardo Fuller (Not sure why, just have a sneaky feeling that MON will adopt him as a new Heskey)
Carlos Cuellar - Versatile Defender, good transfer imo
Mohamed Diame - Good midfielder, better than Gardener imo
Zak Whitbread - We were linked with him at the start of the transfer window, think we could go for him

A player I would like us to go for (Apart from any of the chelsea players/pavel pogrebnyak) is Akos Buzsaky, he is skilful and likes to have a shot on goal, I think could be the creative midfielder we need

Hopefully we have a sniff at Pobregnyak.

We were interested before, and he's shown he can do it in the league.

Whitbread, Cuellar & Diame would all be very good, solid (if unspectacular) additions.

We could get that Drogba kid, but he always bottles the big games like, can't handle pressure.

Some canny players on there. Hoping we get Diame and Cueller as they will improve the squad and only cost their wages. Thought that Russian lad was only on loan at Fulham?? Is he a free agent then? He looked a right handful so would be happy if we went for him. I wouldnt say no to Owen but only on some kind of pay as you play deal and I am certain he wouldnt be up for that.

Newcastle didn't really 'release' Guthrie. he decided he didn't want to play back-up to others so he left. To be honest, he was cracking in the games he played us and would do a grand job for most teams in the league - i think he'll go to a Fulham type team and be a very good Premiership player for years to come.

We'd happily still have him and i think he'd be very good for yourselves. Under-rated.

Rodallega went massively off the boil for Wigan whereas in the end he was struggling to make their bench for the last dozen games, Cuellar hardly got a game for Villa and why did Norwich release Whitbread ? For crying out loud folks I wouldnt touch any of them. And anyone thinking Diame is better than Gardner needs to get their head looked at..hes half decent but Gardners better pound for pound...still we re entitled to our opinion, just feel we need to be looking at better targets than these...free or not

One thing is for sure there's no excuse to not have a half decent forward line next year, some good forwards in there that are much better than Ji Wickham and Campbell.

I honestly think we had the worst forward options in the league last year and worse than half the championship

well Villa were relegated, and would have been better with Cuellar in there. He would offer more versatility where we need it.
Rodallega I'm 50:50 on given his dip, but he could improve under the right tutelage.
Gardner is most likely off, so Diame would be an improvement.

we have got probably the two most adaptable players in the prem in gardener and colback , it is infuriating to keep getting these names thrust forward on a daily basis who is available according to the lists, the reason they are on the list is because ,they cannot get a game or more to the point they are unsubstainable for wages as well ,a deadly mix of which we are trying to address; ie gordon etc
if craig wants to stay and in my view if we can keep jack , and lets be honest i am always glad to see his name on the team sheet as i know he has never let the team down, imo we are on a winner , craig can play in most areas of the pitch as jack, both two footed and no complications off the pitch either.
i bet brian clough ,martins mentor would have loved these two players at forest and derby.
thats my view i await to be bombarded with all fancy names on the list that is mentioned , dont over look the diamonds on the soles of your shoes .

Well with gardner its the **** on the soles of mine im afraid, just dont rate the lad at all, just because he can "play" in those positions, does not mean he is any good.

he wants to go back to the midlands, then cya im afraid, didnt rate him before he joined us, and he didnt show me anything last season to change my mind.

I dont mind the non football stuff, keeps me sane tbh, talking football all the time would do my head in.

As for jack, he is still young, improving all the time, but if an offer came in for 15 million for him, then I would sell, we have not that good of a turnover that we can refuse silly bids for a player that basically cost us nothing.

If one doesnt come in, then keep him and play him, I rate the lad and hope he can keep on improving.
