Good Morning Everyone, As you may have already read on a previous thread the latest rumour doing the rounds comes from our very own Josh-LUFC. Apparently Australian billionaire Frank Lowy is interested in buying Leeds Utd, we hope to speak to Josh soon and have sent a team of journalists to beat every last bit of information out of him ..... Shaun Harvey is curently out of the Country with the football league at a meeting. I just hope he is capable of securing us a worhwhile investor The transfer window opens today Warnock gets back from holiday at the end of next week. I just hope the funds come in so we can assemble a half decent squad. Lesta boss Pearson is set to raid his former club Hull for right back Liam Rosenior, allowing Lee Peltier to join us, thoughts? Morning!! Rosenior is pants, can't believe Pearson would want to....oh wait, it's Lesta, they sign anyone don't they?
Morning Elland, morning Billy. I'll believe the Lowy rumour when I see it on the website. But given that there are so many rumours, something surely has to happen soon.
No smoke without fire, though everything ER based is just talking about 'major investment' which could mean anything!!!
Josh, where are yer??? Lets be aaaavin you????
Good Morning Peeps! I thought I'd make a guest appearance today, happy Friday! I'm hoping we get this investment tied up before the end of next week so we can start getting some players in... I started feeling optimistic a couple of months ago but that's slowly dwindling away as everyday passes
Morning TOM hope your well pal I have been feeling exactlly the same, bang up for it when we signed Pearce, deflated when we missed out on Ward but now somewhere in Limbo! Morning Elland, Boggers & Billy also
Good morning all Although Jerel has "confirmed" Josh's story as coming form a trusted source, why would an 82 year old Czech-born, Israeli living in Oz be interested in buying LUFC? Unless it is a plaything for his kids (which could be a disaster) or a nest-egg for his family (which could be unbelieveably good, as they see real and massive potential). Does he really support LUFC as Josh implies? On a separate note, Shaun Harvey being involved in the takeover / investment talks is interesting. Bates is the owner and he will have clear demarcation lines around what he allows others to do and what he does not. If he has delegated this to Harvey, he must have done it on the basis of very clear boundaries. Now of course, the only one that can break the boundaries is Bates himself, so we will be in a straitjacket if Harvey is involved as he will have no room for maneouvre. On a slightly different tack, if Bates is delegating to Harvey, does that really mean he is at death's door?
Interesting point. Unless his ill health is a smoke screen for the court case. What is going on with that? Also I can assure you that Jerel was on the wind up mate
One for Elland http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/4349594/Worlds-fattest-cat-weighs-2st-5lb.html dont know why he loves em so much
Hence the . Transfer window - pretty sure it does not open for another month officially, although transfers can occur pretty much after the last game of the season
Bucks I think Harvey is dealing with the bits that need doing over here, because Bates is still limited to the number of days he's allowed in the country otherwise he has to pay a huge tax bill. He spent some of it in court which hasn't helped. I reckon any deal that needs ratifying will be done in Monaco, and the yanks and lawyers will sign up in shorts a dodgy loud shirts, and if it is yanks they'll have long socks and sandals.
