Its the "As I understand it" that sticks out for me cos it means it is just speculation and guesswork again really. Why does he understand it, as he had any contact with the club. If so then why not say outright that he had spoken to Mr Allam or something like that. He also says he thinks it will be Billy Davies but then on another thread its Bruce.
Ehab and Assam would like to welcome to the club Mike Bassett. Mike has terrific experience in having guided the kings head to 7th in the East Yorks pub 3rd Division, he also guided the team to a 3rd round exit in the Hessle Rerd Soup Cup competition.

If its him, hes a massive step up for us, and will have money too, both of which prove intent, and neither of which will make some people change their stance on the Allams unfortunately.
There is no way that Steve Bruce will come here without genuine assurances that he will be given the funds to make a proper attempt at automatic promotion. Therefore if he is named tomorrow I will be extremely happy, and so I believe will be our young players. There is no way that he can be accused of being a cheap option.
A bit of a turn around if it is Bruce, it would also suggest we're going to spend some cash if it's true. I can't clarify either way, I'm lacking direct info at the moment.
If its Bruce were stuffed either he wont get the cash to spend that he wants and the Allams will be shown as what many think they are OR He will get the cash to spend and blow it all paying over the odds for too many players

Would be good if he kept the present backroom team, they've shown their loyalty to Hull City. He's not going to be given a sack full of money, but we must hope for a realistic budget.
I'm pretty surprised to be honest if this comes off tomorrow. With all the current movements in the Premier League, I thought that he (and other more desirable managers) would want to hold off and see if anybody wanted him.
