Perrin Hmm. Reminds me of Leonard Rossiter in 'The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin'

  2. I think Coquelin may be ready - the kid doesnt seem to give the ball away and is good at tackling... seems like he could do a job now... but it may be that we do indeed get a stop gap to let him develop for one more year, though I dont think it will be on loan.

I can't see Coquelin going on loan really. He's already had a season at Lorient and he did well when he was in the team this season. I think he will be a player that Wenger will want to utilise, especially with uncertainties about Diaby, Frimpong and Wilshere's fitness.

Oh, I see. I guess it is out of respect that he doesn't speak out. May be a different story when it gets closer to August 31st if he really wants to go.

I'm surprised nobody has told the OP that it is nothing but speculation and we should wait to see what the club do <laugh>

OP - you keep them coming, this is the time for speculation and excitement, the time before the next season is always an exciting time to me, I love the rumours. What p!sses me off is when we don't get anyone mentioned and we go for some pot scraping player !!!

Jayram, I don't know about you but I'm just going to wait until the club make an announcement and not speculate <laugh>

I do like Luuk de Jong. So would be really pleased if we can get him. Prefer him to the likes of Giroud.

Giroud looked pretty ordinary in the game tonight. I know it was only a friendly, but nothing there really to get excited about.

Agreed, i think ordinary is generous though, i'd say poor. 1st touch was missing, he looked cumbersome and slow. If this guy is replacing RvP, then we better get used to channel 5.

I hope the OP is full of it as neither inspire me, especially Loic Perrin. I frickin' love transfer rumours (except where Fabregas was concerned...) but I see nothing exciting in either. A good transfer rumour is supposed to tease the tastebuds and make you think that, whilst not that likely, just maybe it could happen...

These though, meh. Loic Perrin is an average player and we already have 2 young DMs who can put in an average performance and will only get better and better with time. Luuk de Jong is a work in progress. Is that what we need or want right now? We've been b*tching collectively that we need experience and quality.

Actually, the more I think about it the more depressingly likely these transfers are.

Oh, and if RVP did want to go then I'd let him (for lots of money). I have no desire to have anyone at the club who doesn't want to be here, even him.

This is my opinion 100% <ok>

  19. I'd rather we held him to his contract - Unlike some players, I am quite confident that he would give the season his all and when he left at the end of the year (if he did) he would be 30, having given us his best years.
