I have always said that I think at championship level Snoddy is a much better player than Howson but at PL level, it just suits Howson more. I always thought he would be able to make the step up quicker and more comfortably. Snoddy just isn't quick enough to make a huge statement in the PL

interesting thoughts. my worry would be his lack of pace - he's certainly skilful enough <ok>

Snoddy plays both left and right wing where his lack of pace stops him being anything more than a good player however, I often wonder how good he might be if developed to play a more central role where pace isn't such an issue.

His lack of pace is largely due to the fact hes a big drinker and therefore carries extra weight! also he struggles around christmas/new year where he will be seen out of breath somewhere in the middle of the pitch.

Apart from that Snoddy is an amazing player just wonder how good he would be if he got fitter stopped drinking!

Premiership suits Howson a lot more and I said all along Leeds United hindered his career he dropped into a league he shouldn't have and he missed out on Eng U21s cos of us, can see him getting a few caps for England soon.

Snoddy does not have the pace required to take him past players once he has dribbled past them. Reminds me of Frank Gray's son, Andy.

He hasn't got the pace to get away from players once he's past them, but he does have the skill to just go past them again.

Snoddy reminds me alot of ricky hatton in the sense they are/were both really good but could never go to the next level due to a lack of dedication to fitness training

Exactly. It's all about change of pace, explosive increase once you are past the oppo to pull away. Not sure OneLeeds has ever played the game.

Surely once you're passed someone it makes things a lot easier, the options always there to come across the chasing defender therefore risking a rash challenge and earning a free kick or penalty?

Snoddy has benefitted by not having pace because thats meant hes had to sharpen up his skills, look at Walcott once he loses his pace he wont be able to take people on and will drop down the leagues.

will norwich just actually f*ck off and stop nicking our players. We're becoming their feeder club. First Johnson, then howson, then reports of this. Our 3 best midfielders? They're just persuaded by money and the opportunity to play premier league football. To keep snoddy we must invest heavily and give the man 20k a week, what he deserves!

I would suggest that now Lambert has gone, Norwich will no longer carry on with their purchase of Leeds United players. I now see why they kept coming back to us and it was Lambert, he couldn't be our next manager so he decided to make his own Leeds United via Norwich.

Edit: Norwich could be around £3.5m better off by the end of this week, with Lambert's compensation deal from Villa and Grant Holt's move to Villa. There is however a clause in Lambert's contract with Norwich City, which may allow Villa to not pay any form of compensation to Norwich, this is currently in the hands of both the Villa & Norwich lawyers.

Edit Again: Villa have now officially confirmed Lambert as their new manager.

I'm sad to say I think this week has been huge in the future of Norwich City FC, I am 100% sure they will be relegated next season and will struggle for a few years after this. I wonder what Howson is thinking now? I understand the Holt deal was part of the agreement Lambert had with Villa, so I fully expect Holt to be a Villa player very soon.

I wouldnt be so sure, rumours are lambert punched holt at the start of last season and he was part of the reason holt wanted to go.
