How about Marcelo Bielsa the Athletic Bilbao coach, his contract is running out and his team play the way we do Thoughts?
if he is out of contract and they are not going to renew it then this would be a great person to have a look at....they put Man U to shame this season
A very revolutionary coach that makes Rodgers's thinking on the game soooooo last season. Literally. A brave appointment but such an exciting one. And yes, Swim, his nickname is El Loco.
Welcome shejack, your suggestion, is a very good one, and one which I'm sure Jenkins and our board will be looking at, there's something to be said for now bringing in a young and dynamic Spanish coach to finish the total football here at Swansea, and “El Loco” would be a terrific choice, so well done on that one Shejack, top draw, you know how to make an entrance, I'll give you that! Get in there Huw....................
the bookies have a new hot favorite Graeme Jones, would we welcome him back? was hoping for poyet myself http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/swansea-specials/next-permanent-manager
Pardon my ignorance, who is Graeme Jones? I think this is a great job for somebody, ironically, Martinez would be perfect! You have far greater potential than Wigan.
Wasn't Graeme Jones one of the team that Martinez took with him? Yup - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graeme_Jones
He is Martinez' assistant at Wigan, but jumped ship with him from here when Bobby left. This got a lot of Jacks upset because he was part of the furniture here and we felt Martinez whisked him away when he would have been the natural successor here at Swansea. Now, I feel we have grown as a club and it's probably too big a job for him as his first in management.
Cheers lads I guess you lads will fancy Poyet? He can pick up the baton, after all, that's all Rodgers did (he did a ****ing fine job, of course). In a selfish way, I hope we try and nick Sigi, apparently we made a tentative approach last week, but I wish you lads well going forward, lsing a gaffer doesn't mean the end of the world, and your chairman seems like a good fella, he'll get the appointment right i'm sure.
i agree he had the chance to stay but chose to follow Mr Brown Shoes up to the promised land. i seem to recall his name was in the hat 2 years ago. but we've moved on, can't see the wigan number 2, an untested manager having the clout to bring in the signings we need, or even persuading current players that they should stay. lets hope the bookies are horribly wrong on this one
Jones was thrown into the melting point last time, hope we do better than him, anyway can't see it happening!............
