The fear is that racism will be rife at Euro 2012.

Hypothetically speaking.... If half way through the second half of an England game, with us winning 3-0 racism started towards our players.... What would you support?

England walking off the pitch and refusing to play... Thereby possibly forfeiting the match?
    Or
England playing on and ignoring the idiots?

A tough one but what would you advocate?

    Please vote...

    WALK OFF
    Or
    STAY ON

Stay on. Walking off means 'they' have won. Playing on rises above the scum.

I think sometimes a stand needs to be made. I often feel that Uefa bury their head in the sand over racism.
All over Europe racists rule the terraces in Spain Italy, Turkey etc... But nothing gets done.

They then pick two of the most racist countries as co-hosts.. Unbelievable...

Becasue Blatter & Platini are too busy being anti-English, rather that anti-racism

Of course some of it might have depended on how much their palms were crossed with silver.

I would say stay on but after the match lodge a formal complaint, however if Balotelli's walking off threat is widely accepted by other countries, we should be part of a united front. If there's half a dozen matches called off because of plater protests, yeah it'll spoil the competition from a spectator point of view but it would be one hell of a message for countries wanting to host a major competition, along with Russia.

Sort yourself out or you will not host a successful competition.

Option 3: warn the organisers that they will not stag on the pitch if the crowd is overtly hostile towards our black players.

Quite right. Raising your game even more is by far the best response. Fans may even try to use racist abuse as a tactic if they think the opposition team is going to walk off.

It's a tricky one this, I'm more likely to think the players should remain on the pitch unless they are in physical danger, the chants will be upsetting and off putting, it will affect some players more than others, I'm not just referring to skin colour, some players are clearly affected by crowd chanting, some are not.
If any abuse occurs, then the FA need to complain in the strongest terms, the one positive that could come from this, it will be on tv and therefor will highlight why the games should never have been played there in the first place.

I would say stay on as has been said if you walk of the thugs are winning. But after seeing footage of the thugs in the Ukraine some players may find it hard.
Alex Oxlade-Chmberlain family have decided not to go which is a shame for the all as it's his first major tournament.

Stay on all day long for me. I'd actually try and use it to create a siege mentality in the camp. That sort of determination and solidarity with the black players in your team could carry you a long way. Its not for the players to make a stand. That's is UEFA and FIFA problem to sort out. Whether that be heavy punishments or instructions given to referees to abandon games, I'm not sure what the solution is. They will of course argue that they are helping the process because the only way to improve racial tension in these countries is take tournaments to them. Expose them to different cultures is always the argument. Everyone will have their own opinion on that but I just hope nothign silly happens out there because there is ill feeling growing and the media aren't helping.

Walk, and pray that the rest of the competition has the balls to do the same (I would never question Marios though, no doubt he'd follow up his kill threat...). UEFAs stance all along is that the racism in Ukraines domestic football has no bearing on the tournament. If some of the major nations (Holland, France, Italy) walk in reaction to it their hand is forced and they actually have to use some common sense when deciding on a host instead of going for whoevers offering them back handers. If players play on the refs certainly won't stop games, and UEFA and FIFA will continue to do nothing.

Agree with Pouch on the media though, who seem to be glorifying the possibility of it happening.

The media certainly aren't helping, yet again waiting until the eleventh hour to re-highlight the situation, I believe Ross Kemp and Danny Dyer also made programmes about
    this.
I'm thinking about how the Daily Mail decided break a story about corruption in Fifa, just as we were about to make our World Cup bid. <grr>

For years I have been wanting an Englsh based managere, either at club or national level, to call his players off the pitch if there is racist chanting. At hte press conference he should say that he had no choice: he is the players line manager and he is under a legal obligation to ensure that they are not required to work in an environment where employees would be subject to racial abuse (which is in fact correct).

What, realistically, can FIFA do ? Say that England, and any other club that takes a similar situation, should be penalised for refusing to expose their players to racial abuse ? Really ?

No. They would have to actually do something about it. Taking the stand would mean that England didn't win the Euros, but then they won't anyway.

Doubt that the Daily Mail really had any effect on the outcome - - a few billion petrodollars took care of that.

You're absolutely right Fredd, as it happens it made no difference to our bid whatsoever, that was already cut and dried, but the Mail didn't know that at the time of going to print, we came out of that whole fiasco looking like total chumps.

I think the media were right to highlight the racism in the Ukraine. We could put our head in the sand like Uefa have done. Let's hope no one comes home in a body bag. One part of me wants the players to stay on but I also want someone to stand up and say we are not going to accept it and walk off.

Stay on and rely on the English fans to drown the ****s out!

UEFA are ****ing criminals and half of them are semi-racist themselves...They made their beds and with the world watching they'll have to lie in them...I'm sure there'll be a strong sense of denial in Blatter's office though!
