Yeah, seen a fair bit of him for Palace. He looks a good prospect, but I don't know if he'll ever be a right back that will be good enough for United. If I had to buy a young right back right now it'd be Romario from Vitoria. Massive, massive future ahead of him.
Yeah... I'm never 100% sure about signing defenders from lower leagues. Though I guess Bale didn't turn out too bad lol. Romario has good potential on FM. Never seen him play though.
Yeah, I noticed him on FM and have seen a couple of Brazilian journalists who rate him very highly and have likened him to Maicon. You can never be sure about Brazilian defenders in England, but I think you could get him for cheap now and teach him how to defend as well as how to attack while he is still young. It's not often FM gets players wrong, after all! http://www.tribalfootball.com/articles/football-manager-2009-breaking-ground-everton-216437 This article is about how David Moyes signed a deal to use the FM09 player database to scout players!
Yeah I agree. It's hard to tell how good Neymar, Lucas, Ganso etc are because, whilst when you're watching them they look brilliant, they play in a truly awful league where anyone half-decent could look amazing. But there is a new feeling around Brazil they they've finally produced some players to truly replace the Ronaldos, Ronaldinhos etc
The thing is Robinho had the hype just like Neymar.... And didn't really live up to it. I just don't expect Neymar to ever get up there with Messi and Ronaldo as some people predict.
Since this thread is moving away from a player we have all but signed to pure speculation about another guy, I'm moving it to the rumours thread.
Leighton Baines has said about the rumours of him going to United: "The United link is flattering. There is no harm in people talking about it because it is a great club. But I'm at a great club as well, a club that I love." "Would it be hard to turn United down? I'm not letting my focus shift to that while I am in camp. I'm focused on what I'm doing at the moment. Would it be hard to leave Everton? Yes, obviously. You know what it means. I've been there for five years myself but also know first-hand what it means to a lot of people so, yes, it would be."
This is the same bloke who on another thread reckoned Liverpool might go for Joe Allen! Joe Allen FFS, Swansea's fourth best midfielder! Read about him in the Sun no doubt He also refered to Ashely Williams as Williamson, despite it having been given to him on a plate. Yet he's the top football man of the site, knows it all this one. Halfwit.
They should be.....German Leagues best attcking midfielder, 2nd most prolific midfielder ( behind ribery, hes better than what City have to offer ). A 2 x league winner. Pretty sure Kagawa out performed all Citys attacking midfielders this season. He will probably be the best attacking midfielder/deep lying striker in the league nect season if he settles well.....like a few of the last bundesliga to premier league players have done.
Robinho didnt quite live up to the hype but it was impossible for him to do so. He has still had a very successful career in europe and surely must be considered a success?
Neymar has sensational ability, he has better tricks and flicks than Ronaldo, though may not be suited as much to English Football and its physical nature, or have the winning mentality Ronnie has, which IMO, makes Ronaldo the player he is.
If he doesnt sign then it means the world ended. Thats how likely he is to sign, only the end of the world will prevent it. Hes the best Japanese player ever, the best asian player aswell possibly though a few may stake a claim. He also has a trading card game in his honour in his native Japan. He once player for Barcelona.......................in Japan.................
Last I heard, we had agreed to a fee with Dortmund, and Kagawa had clearly stated he wants to play for Manchester United, but was yet to agree to personal terms. My guess is they're still working out the details.
