your right valley...monk for boss dont worry about his pro liecence as he can still manage the club for 3 months without one.(i checked) he has everything else and he should get his liecence within the 3 months...
We have come further than a club muddling along with an untried manager, let alone an untried Prem manager who has't even got a licence. What the **** have we come to? Poyet, or at a push, Solskjaer. Does that mean I'm a Poyet "sycophantic acolyte"? Who cares? The same pricks on this board will criticise whoever's appointed.
How about Nathan Dyer as manager? Or how about no manager at all? All they do is leave. The team know what to do without a manager. They can decide on substitutions on the pitch - pick straws perhaps.
kangaroo tell me what is the difference between us making martinez manager when he had nothing and making monk who has been with us from the beginning and is not far off retiring on the playing side of things.....no experiance...neither did martinez and plenty of other players who end up as managers.....monk has all the attributes apart from his pro licence which wont hinder him as long as he can pass in three months....whats your reason? why wont he be able to do the job???? Who says an experienced manager could do better than monk who has grown with the club since div 2....???? tell us why monk cant do the job????instead of dismissing the theory that he cant...
1: Because we are now a PREM club. No room for sentiment. 2: "apart from his pro licence" - kind of a stumbling block. Muddling along is not how a pro outfit does business.
I see we're starting a new thread for each potential manager. Great idea. I've also start one, so we can talk about each candidate in a separate thread. I'm a bit surprised though because you nearly blew a gasket when there were two threads on unrelated topics. Perhaps you've calmed down.
I thought it was you that was the topic police valleygirl. Here you are posting loads of next manager threads. But no-one else is allowed to do that according to you. Monk is a bad idea. End of story. Trundle?
It's all about you isn't it, you said you have left, then come back and cry like a little child. And the reason why so many people are posting threads is that it's been confirmed he's gone. The reason why people were wondering why you were posting a similar thread for the same topic is because you revelling in the turmoil even a moderator was getting pissed off with you. Now if you are staying post that you are staying, but you will be treated as Cardiff fan from me, and I'm sure by others as well !
...and another thread hijacked...if you want to post on the forum Casual, get over yourself and get back on topic. EDIT - Oops, there's some irony... I should have added, that I agree - I'd love to see Monk take over in the future, just not until he's fully qualified and perhaps has had a stint as assistant or even worked a year or two at a lower league team....In the meantime, I'd be happier with somebody with experience, just so we're not taking such a gamble on such an important second season.
Agree Norfolk. Monk WILL one day manage the Swans, of that I'm sure. He deserves it too. Couldn't feel his foot by the end of the play off final and played the first part of the season essentially on one leg, jeapordising his physical wellbeing for the team. Hero.
Monk for manager? I've just come into the office. I think the wife must have stuck some mushrooms in my cereal.
Back on topic. Monk might make a good manager one day but don't think he's ready to be thrown in at the deep end. But I don't know much about his managerial skills so I'll let Huw decide.
