I get the feeling that this kind of thing would have been discussed during that lengthy meeting between Huw and Brendan. I hope that Huw said something along the lines of "If you want our best players, you have to pay Liverpool prices. They paid £50+million for Henderson and Carroll. So if you want Williams and Allen, come back with tens of millions of pounds or you've got no chance chump."
If we dont act quick and install monk manager then we may lose a few. Siggs is the only one who he can take as he has not signed terms yet. but should nothing change and we instantly put monk in charge then siggs might just stay.... And before you say monk dont have the experiance then we took a chance on martinez and he was playing for a league two side......monk has been working his badges and he knows the system we play and he knows the training plan, but most of all he knows the players and he can command respect, we dont need to go through paying millions to an outsider who will want to disrupt everything.......There is no need as we have someone capable of carrying on from where rodgers have left off......if martinez can do it then why not our captain who will be going into management in the not to distant future anyway.....
Firstly, there is the chance you have a lot of unhappy players who were looking forward to pushing on with Rodgers next season. Second, if Siggs hasn't signed he will be off to Liverpool because Rodgers rates him highly enough to have offered £7m for him. Third, it may prove difficult to get the manager you want, and if that takes time it won't help prep for next season. I despise Liverpool for messing up their club by appointing the backstabbing Dalglish who then went and hopelessly overspent on players not worth those ridiculous transfer fees. Now they poach a good young manager who is trying to build a club for the Prem. Good luck Swans, I wait to see how you fix this mess.

Aren't you guys worried bout Vorm? I've seen threads and comments with 'It's going to be hard to keep him here' through out the year. Rodgers was a big factor for him to join Swansea in the first place. Now that he is gone, what's there to keep him now? He might not be off to Liverpool to replace Reina, but ive seen him linked with clubs such as Arsenal, Chelsea and ManU on Not606 What do you guys think about this?

On the Liverpool board they are already lining up for which Swansea players they should come in for!! I hope that we have learnt from the Martinez era, and we have an agreement signed by Rodgers not to come in for our players! Mind they don't have that much money, do they?...............
Hopefully in the negotiations today and hopefully from what Huw learnt after Martinez skipping town there is a clause in the deal saying that he cant poach any players from Swansea for 12 months. But as has been said they are all on long contracts so if the ****er wants them he can pay through the nose. Regarding Sigurdsson, Huw negotiated the £6.8 million....with what I can imagine the main point on our side of negotiations is that we havent got vast amount of cash....Liverpool have so if they want him i'd expect Hoffenheim to hold out for at least £10 million
I remember when he was our manager (Watford): he gave public assurances he wasn't going to a particular club then went and left anyway, shortly afterwards. History repeating itself, sadly, and it now puts beyond doubt that Rodgers is a man of no integrity.
And those never happen in the EPL of course? I am just asking a frank question, after all the transfer rumours and anxiety threads of losing Vorm in the winter or summer. How would you rate an exit by Vorm if Rodgers does take a couple of player with him to Liverpool?
Think we will put a clause that says Liverpool can't come sniffing next season. As for vorm he would be a major loss for us, but every player has a price, and him at least £10m or higher.
