I see that only a couple of weeks after denying he would be interested in the Liverpool job Brendan Rodgers has agreed to be their new manager - what is it they say about leopards and spots

He inherited that Swansea team for me, got very lucky. Hope he gets found out at Liverpool, can't stand the man. When he came out a week ago and said 'no' to speaking to Liverpool i knew this would happen.

Swans not happy. Did they read our posts when he left?

"This doesn't surprise me at all. Respect is obviously something Rodgers doesn't know about. Now he joins Martinez as someone with no standards. Nothing he can say will make any Swans fan forgive him. The man is no longer part of any Swansea memory----he ceases to be............ Amen."

This will be his first BIG test. He has done well at clubs where he was in a real strong position - Graham Simpson was on 5 Live tonight and basically said that he came in with a huge manual and they let him get on with it. But at the scousers he will be a small fish in a very big ocean - will the fans and press give him time to play his way and get results? He was a success at Watford and Swansea without winning anything and "getting by" - King Kenny won a trophy and came 8th in the Prem yet he was sacked! Just how long will the septic owners give him is the acid question!
Can I start the rumour that they will swap Andy Carrol for Danny?

Even then he did not do well at Reading - I know they did not give him much time but he certianly failed to impress them

its the end of the season Rogers does a lap of the pitch, punching the air and telling the fans how great they are....................
Then he leaves "for the only club I ever would" Oh no, its the dollars........

Still a git no moral fibre and wont last past February....

It's quite funny how lightning does strike twice...just like when he joined Reading, I just can't see the move to Liverpool working out. Fair play to Rodgers, he has done a superb job at Swansea, totally take my hat off to him for that.

Yet I just can't see Rodgers managing a big club like Liverpool. They want top 6, is Rodgers the man to deliver it? I'm not sure. He may struggle with the expectation and pressure that will come with managing a club like Liverpool. He will be giving a lot of money, will he be able to spend it wisely?

You do feel sorry for Swansea. Whoever takes over the club next is going to have very big boots to fill, almost certain the club will go backwards from this point.

Its a shame as he could have been a great manager. He has the skills to do it, just lacks the integrity to say no to money. He has committed managerial suicide and has possibly left a poison chalice for you guys. I just hope his replacement keeps you in the prem. You guys deserve it!!

it's a £9m deal!!! He is soooo not worth it. He will definitely get found out, unless they get someone fantastic as Director of Football. He did well for us, but he was crap at Reading and he got lucky at Swansea...he didn't create what they had there, he just nurtured it. They should have gone for Martinez, he's the one who did all the work at Swansea! I do feel for Swans fans...hard to say 'i told you so'...

Still, when he's only at Liverpool a season, he'll be practically unemployable again...good!

Who's he got as his backroom staff these days? His poor performance at Reading was in my opinion down to his reliance on that geezer lampard he took with him from us. I'm guessing he's relying more on himself and Mourinho these days and he may well fit in and do a good job for liverpool. A move there for Danny would give him a better shot at England. Bet now Rodgers to leave liverpool for England when Woy fails at the Euros?

Come on guys......Liverpool is a big job. He would struggle to do worse than last season.... I doubt at Swansea he would get the same wages or money to spend.

The only thing you can really blame Rodgers for is his typical "I'm not leaving", then leaving the next week.
