3.10 Ayr Quality Art 25/1 NAP Extremely interesting contender who I think looks massively overpriced at 25/1. Formerly with Gary Moore, this 4 year old has now moved the in form Richard Guest team for 15,000gns recently and I think he has a major chance if recapturing his old form. After 3 solid efforts in his juvenile campaign, Quality Art really flourished as a 3 year old and looked extremely progressive until he went off the boil in has 3 starts. In his first 5 starts as a 3 year old, he posted 3 wins and a narrowly beaten 2nd and his handicap mark rose quickly from an initial 72 to a mark of 90 and its not hard to see why. After winning a maiden, he ran a very good 2nd on his handicap debut when finishing a 0.75L beaten 2nd. The winner looks a progressive horse as 7lb higher mark subsequently and Quality Art lost nothing in defeat. After this Quality Art notched up two wins, the first a very impressive 4L success at Kempton in a race that has worked out really well. The 2nd Swiss Dream, who was rated 80 that day, has since won off a mark of 99 and the 3rd has won off an 8lb higher mark as well. Quality Art was risen 10lb to a mark of 85 but showed no signs of stopping as he ran out an impressive 1L winner at Windsor. Under the guidance of Ryan Moore, he made all and Quality Art seemed to have a bit left in the tank as he went on to score. The 2nd Stlye and Panache won off the same mark two starts later and again nothing seems wrong with that form. Upped to a Class 3 off a mark of 90, Quality Art again ran a very solid race when finishing a 2L beaten 4th at Newmarkets July course. On the good to soft ground that probably wasn't ideal (two best efforts were on better ground), he set a very fast early pace and he faded late on. The form of that race is fine with the winner winning off 2lb subsequently, the 2nd Ballista has won off a 1lb lower mark and the 3rd Coeus won on his next start off the same mark. His final 3 starts as a 3 year old were poor (he was eased when beaten 3 times) and he may have just gone off the boil a little bit. Quality Art makes his debut for Richard Guest off a mark of 86 and he'll have to overcome an 8 month break if he wants to get back to winning ways here. The break is an unknown, with the longest absence being 105 days before today but he ran a very good 2nd that day so I certainly think he's able to go well fresh enough. I think he looks potentially well handicapped off just 1lb above his last winning mark and if you discount his last 3 efforts he'd definitely be a single figure price. Its very interesting that Richard Guest won this race last year, and more so for the same owners so I certainly think that connections may have had this race in mind for some time. There has been a bit of money around for him too which is certainly encouraging. The good to firm conditions should prove ideal for him and although the draw in stall 1 may be a slight disadvantage, he should be able to use his blistering early speed to tack across if desired. J-P Guillambert takes the ride and this is his only engagement of the day and as he was on board the stables winner in this last year I'm definitely encouraged by his booking. With other three entries in the next 5 days, I hope connections plan to get a couple of quick victories under his belt and he also has an entry in the Wokinhgam at Royal Ascot next month too. If the change of scenery has worked the oracle, I think Quality Art could be extremely difficult to beat. I'm doing a RFC with The Nifty Fox who has finished 2nd in this race the last two years including off a 13lb higher mark last year and he clearly goes well at the track this time of year.
Morning guys I've just logged in to yesterday's thread and seen stick's through selections At Hexham where he went through the card from 7.15 5 races and 5 winners OUTSTANDING and unbelievable prices brilliant!! Note to self...I must make time and log in every day, sod work lol Keep it up guys, this forum is the ONLY forum to be on
Just logged on to say well done to stick for that brilliant spree last night. Quality. I must also say that this Conditions malarkey is plain wrong, the Hilary Needler should be a listed race. Simple as that. Today I quite like the Ryan horse in the race, but I need to sit down and look at it before deciding my bet.
Outstanding Stickler, but where was my text !!! Follow Glee and Goldie at Ayr today, they have some good things out, Rothsay Chancer being one of the best to bet on im told At Sedgefield tonight Sam Patch & Lukie in the the last 2 races look good Stay Frosty
Yeah stick that was amazing last night. Gutted I logged on after the damage had been done as would of been on those winners
Im also dropping by to highlight Tuesdays daily thread for anyone who was not around in the evening where Stick steamrollered everything in sight. Winners left right and centre and some super odds too. Its not often anyone has an evening quite like that and what a glorious bit of weather to add to the feel good factor. Well done Stick!
I did not see the post last night but have just logged on and read of Stick's amazing feat, very well done mate. Keep it up and lets see if we can get a Frankie-esqu magnificent 7 up, upon which we will create a statue of you and place it on its own sticky at the top of the page forever more. well done
Just one bet for me this afternoon, but possibily a couple this evening, but bet of the day Ayr 3.40 Amazing Almorey 9-2 Get on..... Still on a decent mark and although there are a couple of dangers in No Poppy and Celtic Sultan the price is made very fair on account of this. I fancy this quite a bit and so actually placed my bet last night. I have just seen their is good money for your Nap ROTO, good luck with it. I am not betting in that race as looks very tricky but if had to make a selection would go for Medici time 15-2. I have also heard that the kevin Ryan Pabak horse in the first at Ayr is hoped to be eventually better than an Ayr horse, but it came a little third hand and the horse actually seems to be drifting a little from first show so will probably just watch. As always just passing on anyway.
AMO'B has just stated that Kissed won't be lining up for the Oaks unless there is an ease in conditions. Hold all bets without the NRNB caveat.
Thank you all for the kind messages guys. It was an evening to remember. Just a shame a lot of you log off when you leave work. The last winner was the best. Got him at 22~1 though he did touch 28's. It was an outstanding riding performance from young Henry Brooke. Judged the pace to perfection to lead all the way over three miles. If thats not ride of the week I will be amazed. HEXHAM is my new favourite course. Thank you all again.
Interesting Biopic on SS1 about Lester Piggott at 11am...for those who aren't working or sunbathing..
Morning all just topping up on WAS this morning 40/1 is a steal. I think she will win on Friday but defs can't see her out of the 3.
A big congratulations to Stick and his winning performance last night... I too missed the fun because of work but it is always great to hear the good news from anyone doing well from the forum... Congratulations Stick and enjoy that friday night meal with the missus... you deserve it...
Morning lads my usual lucky e/w 15 and accy for today which involves going against other posters. Tree House 9/1 NAP 3:50 Sedgefield Northern Fling 5/1 3:40 Ayr Mibleu 7/1 3:30 Newton Abbott La Toreador 13/2 3:10 Ayr
2.10 Ayr Bapak Besar 4/1 Very interested to see how this 2 year old debutant gets on in the opener at Ayr. Kevin Ryan has introduced 3 horses on debut in this race recently, winning it 2005 & last year. Amadeus Wolf won it in 2005 and finished as a 111 rated animal with three Group victories to his name. Last year Bogart won this for Ryan and he is a Listed winner and is probably the stable star. The other horse was Lexis Boy (tailed off) and he has developed into quite a useful animal being rated 80 on the flat and 142 over hurdles. I've deduced from this that Ryan targets this race with his better juveniles and resultantly Bapak Besar looks very big at his price. Throw in the trainers good form and his 18% strike rate with juveniles at the track and he is the most interesting prospect of the day.
Stick got lucky. We all know it! In Ireland there's a couple of really short price favourites that look fairly decent propositions. However, the race that's interesting me is the bumper where Elsie is short at 5/4 based on the run last time where she cried enough and ran out. Before that she ran second twice when battered by Don Cossack and by Champagne Fever. They are easily the best two bumper horses we saw in England or Ireland last year. Nevertheless, those two races haven't really thrown anything else of real note up and the ground conditions then are very different to the good ground she'll run on tonight. So that's the quandary. Is she a good horse who just ran into two belters or is she flattered by the presence of those two horses in her previous races? At 5/4, with the questions i have in my mind, I have to take her on and t he obvious one to do that with is the Mullins trained Sizing Sahara. Sizing Sahara should improve for his debut at the Punchestown festival. He ran well for a long way that day tracking the pace for the majority before running out of steam and being eased off when he got tired. It could easily have been a little too soft for him then so 5/1 makes a lot of appeal for the best bumper trainer in Ireland. Jessie could have something in the newcomer Lotus Lily but i'd just be guessing if she was a real challenger so will wait to see what she looks like just before the off and decide whether a saver is worthwhile. I may easily have read the Punchestown race wrong, Sizing Sahara may have picked up a little knock etc, but with the trainers record in bumpers, the each way price and the expected improvement i am happy to have an each way bet. Good luck today lads and Stick - any tips fella? I wouldn't mind one or two 22/1 winners!
