I love him <3 Burnley fans are gutted he could be leaving, he's got loads of potential and would thrive off somebody like Lambert. He's a young lad who got in the PFA team of the season so he's clearly got something going for him. Plus, he's pretty

Seriously though I'm very sure he'd be a good signing, he's a player I've rated highly for a while and I'm very excited at the prospect.

It was reported to be, but I think they were jumping the gun a little. I think Steve Davis said they weren't going to enter negotiations with clubs until the playoffs were over. United must be heavy favourites to sign him, but I'm not giving up hope. To have both him and Jay Rod next season would be an absolute dream.

Trippier has been mentioned too! "Are we Burnley, are we Burnley, are we Burnley in disguise?"

Slightly surprised they've offered Chaplow, but only him and Nige know his likely role next season, and it may be Chaplow wouldn't get a big role so he wants to move on

You have to admit he sounds more like a footballer than a guitarist.

    Lambert
    Lee
    Rod
    Sharp

What order would you have them?

Be interesting preseason with Adkins trying to decide. Lambert has to start with JRod/Sharp (bit of fence sitting there!). Can Lee be transformed into a winger?

I would love it if this worked out. I reckon all 4 strikers would be able play in any combination. Wouldn't surprise me if Chaplow was part of the deal, I can't see him playing many games next season if we did sign a new centre mid and winger.

He's fast, strong, and knows where the net is, basically. He will absolutely love playing next to Lambert.

I imagine Jay could fill Lambert's role too, it's not as if he's a physically weak player. Chung also has quite a lot of pace about him too. ;)

That is one hell of a strikeforce though.

I appreciate all eager for news but following discussions with CEO, club will not be commenting on any speculation, esp on Jay Rodriguez

No use asking Darren Bentley! :p

Think this is a key reason why we're after him. He's almost 2 players rolled into 1.

This would be a great signing he is a brilliant all round player with the potential to be a world beater. I have to admit to not having seen extensive footage of him but from the few times I've have watched him, he looks to be very technically gifted with the ability to go past people. I don't see him as an out and out striker as such but would be perfect playing off Lambert. Also would be interesting seeing him play up front with Tadanari Lee, the movement would be amazing.
