    Sky Sports have announced we are lining up a move for this 18 year old, Championship Apprentice of the Year at Coventry last season.

    He is likened to Essien, so basically Tiote. He also has hair like him.

    28 appearances last season, not bad for an 18 year old.

    Interesting given Mehdi Abeid is already at the club... Maybe he is not progressing as they had initially hoped?

    I think they like him but see him more as a replacement for Cabaye. Most of his formative football was played as attacking central or right midfielder. We tried him deeper against Blackburn and it was noticeable he was quickly pushed on at half time. He improved for it. I'm excited about Abeid for next season, so hopefully he hasn't gone the wrong way.

    When you buy 18 year olds, you buy potential and hope not a finished product. Buying two doesn't mean that you have given up on one of them. After all, the worst that could happend is that we have 2 proto-Tiotes.

    On the other hand, a 50/50 challenge between them could create a black whole destroying all life . . .

    Not if we're planning on playing 4,3,3 regularly - 3 more defence minded players with passing ability is ideal, so the more the merrier. Besides, as others have said, Abeid can be pushed further forward!

    Great stuff, sounds like a really nice lad. After reading that though, for his own development I think he should stay at Coventry for at least another season and nail down a starting position. Still has a bit to learn and I think he seems the type who would stay loyal to the club who helped develop him.

    If he came here I couldn't see him being any more than 5th choice (Cabaye, Mouthful, Vuckic, Abeid) and that would seriously damage his process. One for the future but for his own sake, I hope he stays put.
