There would be far worse canidates than Killer and at least he is still with the club and cheap-ish option. But away from the Allams nobody knows for sure who it will be. Very left field a Deano and Ian Ashbee combo would be a laugh if nothing else.
Not been funny here but them two deano and ash have been suggested four or five times to me over the weekend. It can't can it
I doubt it will be Uwe Rosler, I doubt the Allams even know he is. It'll be someone who the'll have heard of so think someone with a tv presence in the last 12 months maybe?
Not a clue. Just can't see them plucking someone from pretty much nowhere. They aren't football fans so doubt they've ever heard his name before. By tv presence I meant more a common profile in football or someone who will have been mentioned to them in the last 12 months. For example people were talking about Clark when he was sacked so they probably heard his name. The ex-PL mangers who Sky News love Bruce and McCarthy, which even could be said for the Holloway link the other week. I'm also pretty sure the bookies don't have a clue. The odds are coming from people reading names off here im pretty certain. We could start a thread about any manger on here and he'll be a fave with 48 hours.
From CI:' However, the previously unidentified second candidate for the City job could well be highly thought of German national Uwe Rosler'. http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/hull-specials/next-permanent-manager Give it a rest. www.youtube.com/watch?v=7xnNhzgcWTk#t=03m46s
Matt Dean has just tweeted that Brentford have said that no contact has been made with Hull City with regards to their manager. Ed. Oh and merge?
You don't really think the Allams are that thick do you? Whatever their recruitment decision is, I find it hard to believe that it will be based solely on the fact they've seen the candidate on the telly.
Well I saw John Eyre in Morrison's the other night and he had absolutely no idea! Nice bloke too, was my favourite player when I first started going. Truly has the club at heart.
I have a chat with a George who works at City every morning while waiting for the bus. Must be pushing 70. Don't know his surname though.
Interesting fact that Rosler and Horton are quite good friends, I believe that Horton Signed Rosler at some point, Man City I think. They went to a playoff game recently together too. My flatmate is an avid Brentford fan, and I've seen them play under Rosler a handful of times. He does seem to like playing very defensively and resists playing some of their more attacking options like Miles Weston (very quick winger - we could do will him here), but when he does they win, but then goes back to not playing him. Rosler has at times got them playing very well indeed, but on the whole I'm not convinced that it would be a good idea to have him here over someone like Karl Robinson who has got MKdons playing some nice football, not too different from NB's style either so it wouldn't be a learning process again.
It shouldn't be, but since that was their transfer policy in January, why wouldn't they be doing the same now?
It's a huge leap of the imagination to suggest that was "their transfer policy" in January. They have only mentioned one specific name of a player they suggested (Billy Sharp) as far as I'm aware, and in wanting him they were only echoing the demands of quite a number of City fans (myself NOT included). Hardly evidence.
That's exactly the problem I had with those comments. Aside from the fact I don't believe they would have paid the enormous wages, transfer fee and signing on fee required to sign Sharp, it seems ridiculous that a manager can't choose his own players, that it has to be a certain name that the Allams have heard the fans talking about or he isn't worth the money. Ludicrous.
That is not exactly what I said. The Allams are far from thick. Maybe a better way of putting it would be a manager who they are aware of. I know they've got a 'team' of people working on finding a new manager but I find it hard to believe they would hire someone they've probably never heard of from Brentford.
