I know Nigerian's have a tendency for dubious dates of birth but this is taking the piss. Surely he's 35 minimum. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18218972
But that's the point I was making, his public date of birth is surely a sham. Martins for example when he was at Inter was found to be 7 years older than he claimed and was promptly sold to the hapless Jawdies for ****loads as Moratti rubbed his hands with glee. Wasnt JJ meant to really be about 45 when he played for us? Just found this: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/feb/21/nigerian-football-age-old-problem
i see. i just got one of their emails. it was called halifax online banking but inside it said from santander and had fake abbey national link. they don't know what's true.
This problem isn't just limited to African footballers, there has been some debate recently that Dutch footballer Arjen Robben is actually a middle-aged man of 52, also that would explain the pain and screaming he does when lightly touched during any tackle, his old bones just can't take the rigours of professional football
Careful, Crabby - you go putting in links to the Guardian and City Asbo will start rattling his perch...
I was gonna buy a car off AutoTrader, deal seemed to good to be true. Emailed him and he lived in Xerez, Spain but was called Richard Brown. Had Nigeria written all over it. All of the ones on there with an email on the picture are fake, you have been warned!
Happens a bit in the UK too sometimes paperwork gets messed up. Last summer I sent a letter to the driving licence people in Swansea telling them I would like to renew my DL when I came home, a polite young lady informed me that according to their records I was deceased. Apparently if you do'nt get in touch with them after 20 years and you do'nt get any points or anything they just assume you are dead. Still could'nt get one though I have to go to bloody Swansea and prove I'm still alive and bring a birth certificate and my american driving license. Oh and get this she did change my status from deceased to presumed deceased which made me feel a bit better
John, werent you tempted to reply that you were but you got better? But on a similar note I didn't get a car tax renewal notice a few years back so I rang up and was told that my car had been written off. I told them that it hadn't been in a crash and their recirds must be wrong to which they replied that their records.are never wrong. I had to get written confirmation from insurers that the car had not.been in an accident before.they would.amend their.records.
The article says Okocha was 10 years older then his official age, that would have made him 44 maybe he was trying to tell us that with his squad number
Was it a coincidence that both Nigerians Olofinjana and Okocha wore the number 44 shirt in their first seasons, was it meant to represent something in Africa?
Ok, I thought it was some sentimental Nigerian thing that we didn't know about, I was starting to to get all controversial on the matter, I then started to think if McCormack was a Nigerian...
Jay-Jay said he wanted a double number like 11 or 22 to go with his double name, but 44 was the first free one.
