I went to watch the Sheff U Stevenage second leg. It was dire. Since they lost Ched, they arent the same team. Also they changed from 4-4-2 to 4-4-1-1. With Quinn playing behind Porter. They are better with Cresswell and Porter up top and Quinn wide. If they do that again i think Hudders will win. Sheff U's two centre halfs are solid but im looking forward to seeing Rhodes and what sort of players Lee Clark had. If its true he is still one of our preferred choices. I'm going for Hudders 3-1. Quinn would be a good option for us, out of contract now i think, puts in some great crosses for a centre forward to attack. Oh ye we need one of those for next season alongside Matty. Been waiting for two years for a centre forward, Im the first one to say it for this season.
I'd like Sheffield utd to do it but can't see past Huddersfield. The latter part of the season is dragging now.
both sides were pretty dire to watch... boring managers too.. cant imagine 'udders will offer the championship much. question now is can they keep hold of Smithies & Rhodes ?
Rhodes may have scored a pen in sudden death but a bloke who has scored 40 goals this season doesnt fancy a penalty!!! Thats a serious lack of bottle.
Just have to say Huddersfield looked like they actually where trying to win it, where as Sheffield United looked as if they where trying not to lose it. But the first set off five penalties where awful. Not sure why Rhodes didn't want to take one. Also my friend is at uni in Huddersfield, pretty sure he won't mind this result!
A truly dire game - without Evans they lost second spot to the Wendies and had no fire power up front. Not sure who I hate most - probably Huddersfield because their supporters have big mouths and a high opionion of themselves and the Galpharm is pants. To lose on pens when udders missed their first three takes some doing. Oh and only 52000 ffs
I kept on flicking over from the cricket when i got in. One of the worst matches i've seen and most the playoff finals are dire, but this took the biscuit. Didn;t even watch the penalties. Sheff utd must be the worst team in the playoffs. I've never seen them win a game and it's been 4/4- Palace, Wolves, Burnley & Huddersfield. Imagine if we had that record at Wembley.
Game was dreadful and painful to watch. Huddersfield had the best chances in the 120 minutes overall. First 6 penalties taken were not even sunday league standard but then they impoved, hence the marathon penalty shoot out. All 22 players who ended extra time got to take one. Down to the keepers. Huddersfield win thankfully and justice done. It Would not surprise me to see Jordan Rhodes stay now for at least a season. New ground to do for me as well. Welcome to the championship Udders. It wont be much fun in Sheffield for a while being a Blades fan thats for sure. Lol. Hopefully the Cheltenham v Crewe game will be a better watch today. O/T, Poor York City have some miles to cover next season. Torquay, Exeter and Plymouth for starters. Lol.
