An intriguing stat indeed. 3% of what? Does it mean you are idle for 97% of the time or just that someone has estimated your activity potential is enormously greater than your actual effort? Given your daily dairy of jobs done on the OFH estate I suspect my activity rate, however measured, might be fairly close to zero
3% of what indeed Theo. I have often wondered. According to your little green line you also have an activity rate of 3%, but then I am on holiday.
I think I have achieved my 3% this morning drinking coffee, editing a bit of writing and sitting in the garden. Next week I shall be hurtling towards 4% in a holiday cottage in the Dales, strolling to the pub and meeting up with friends. I dread to think how people on 90% spend their days...
Yay sun still out and have 4 days off to watch some cricket , and work on the bikes Its warm enough to soon bottle first batch of home brew
Yes. Norway became affiliate members of the International Cricket Council in 2000. They have about 20 teams though most players come from the Indian sub-continent. The national team captain is Zaheer Ashiq who, appaently is descended in a direct line frm Thor, the god of Thunder.
Actually, with all your activity today, you're up to 4%...positively prolific! Evening all...what was supposed to be a fairly laid back day turned into another hectic one, but i have finally found my sofa and i'm plonking for the night!
lol not likely to happen...i'm sitting here with my girls, and they're watching Glee...oh joy! <groan>
Morning all from a warm Jersey. Still trying to work out how it was hotter when I was going home from work at 5.30 than it was at lunchtime. A bit confused this morning - my ex was supposed to be heading to France this morning for her dad's 60th on Tues and our boys stuff that they'll need next week such as school uniforms and other things that they don't have here wasn't dropped off to me last night as planned. Earlier this week she was talking about not going as she couldn't trust her eldest (half-brother to my two) as last time she was away he ransacked the house to try and find stuff to nick (he's been pinching his brothers stuff for years - he's only 17 now). He decided to move the stereo from the lounge to his bedroom and used the speakers (not sure how he was able to wire them up) in his car. We also think he went out in the car then (it's actually insured in her name as he's still learning) - there was a bit of bumper missing and the next time he went out with her, he was going between lanes without signalling, crossing his hands instead of feeding the wheel through and other things you shouldn't do when driving. She was going to have a lock fitted to her bedroom door and put all the valuable stuff in there, including the TV but the person who was supposed to be fitting the lock didn't show on Monday night - maybe he didn't show at all so she isn't going. Going to text pie later to find out what the situation is. On a lighter note, there was a bit of a fire scare in the other building at work which they believe was caused by the alarms in that building, which is new, being hyper-senitive and set off because someone on the top floor had used too much air freshener! Ak & N, this is what I could find about Norway's affiliate status on the cricinfo website: http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/content/team/124.html Jersey is an associate, winning World Cricket League Division 6 hosted here a few years ago but in our first attempt at WCL Div 5 in Tanzania, got relegated back to Div 6 where we still are now.
Very good NZ Norways team is full of expat asians in the main, like their rugby team is full of expat Brits.

We have 10C already. I think Kolbeinsey might be a good place for your ex-woman's not your son Jersey. It is a small island that is Ãslands most north point. The rock is 75km north of GrÃmsey and the helipad is now broken so you can only go by boat to it.
Apparently, the reason the stuff wasn't dropped round is that she was getting stuff ready for a Cub Scouts competition that is taking place while she's away, so she ran out of time but someone still should've thought to let me know.
Blimey Jersey he sounds a right little **** in need of a good shoeing... Cork away on 24th July - anyone up for it? Fly out in the morning and back the next morning for £50 on Ryanscare from Stansted..get a keep flea-pit to stay in..job done. Just collecting the numbers..
I don't want to start a debate on national service, but did anyone see the series "Bad Lads Army" a few years ago? They got a bunch of past and current prisoners to volunteer to go through five weeks of 1950s style basic training. For most of those who tried to treat it as a genuine route to a better life, it seemed to work wonders, and that included some people who were still in prison. But most of those who went there thinking it was a way to prove how hard they were, get on TV or get out of prison for a month simply reverted to type (in particular two brothers who were told that if they didn't volunteer and successfully complete the training, they would get a 60 day prison sentence, i.e. serve 30 days). Some of the latter group were dishonourably discharged (they hadn't broken the law and went into the process as free men), some were sent back to prison. I'm anti-conscription, but I do think there is a massive, massive argument for bringing something very similar to 50s basic training back on a voluntary basis, targetted at young offenders (16-30 or so).
that was actually what I was thinking of when I mentioned the idea , I think our service personnel have enough on their plate without looking after and straightening out juvenile offenders , but the idea of bad lads army 50`s style bootcamp I believe could be beneficial in teaching some kids self respect and respect for others , the benefits of team work and discipline . the alternative is that eventually they end up in the prison services hands costing the tax payer much more and having a far harder time with any future employment.
Barmy weather...trusted the weathermen last weekend, the missus and I went for a break to Fort William last Sunday...what did we take? Thermal socks, macs etc., what didn't we take? Shorts, sun cream, after sun cream.....the result, red face,an even redder nose. That's just for starters, when we got to our hotel off the coach we discovered there had been an outbreak of norovirus but there had been a deep clean carried out and the hotel had the all clear, needless to say within 2 days 2/3's of our party were down with it. Should've left today and stopped overnight at Darlington(always wanted to go there!)but the hotel wouldn't let us go there because we're the unclean! finished up we were brought as far as Coventry and then the rest of the way by taxi. Won't forget this week for a while!
