Sad to see people sell out their principles though.... Unless they never had them in the first place.
Keep your money and stick to listening to the cd, they are one of the worst bands I have ever seen live Ian brown can't sing, still produced some of my favourite songs tho
The whole experience, as much as the performance will make it well worth it. Plus there's Primal Scream, The Wailers, The Vaccines and Kid British playing as support acts. I'd pay good money just to see one of those, with the exception of Kid British.
Ian Brown doesn't have a great voice, but Mick Jagger or Axel Rose don't either. They still produce great music. Mani, Reni and John Squire are three of the best musicans ever.
Saw them in their prime at Bristol Beerkeller, Alexandra Palace and Brixton, shame they've reformed now. Ian Brown can't sing live for toffee, but still one of the best debut cds ever.
They're a great band, but as has been mentioned, Ian Brown is pretty shocking live. I went to see the Inspirals and the Mondays in Leeds last week. Hingley is no longer fronting the Inspirals(which pissed me off as he's an old mate and that was one of the reasons for going) and they were poor. The Monday's were brilliant, Shaun Ryder is fantastic live, way better than I thought he'd be and they're well worth watching if you get the chance. Though I still can't figure out what Bez is supposed to be doing.
THIS - massively. The first album is the best debut of all time but if one group should never have reformed it is them. It just makes everything they ever stood for a sham and I cant believe a true fan would actually go to see this.
I saw them in Sheffield the week before, The Inspirals wer'nt that great, but Sean was on good form.... even if he had to keep reading from a sheet of A4 to work out what they were playing next... the place was bouncing
I've got Saturday Heaton Park tickets, should be good. Could you kind TigerNation take a minute to check out www.facebook.com/jointhestreetparade
You think because he had a few hit records he can sit on his arse and be all principled for the rest of his life? Maybe he wants to eat occasionally.
I'm not annoyed at them for trying it, I'm annoyed at supposed fans who believed in them for buying tickets and ****ting all over the memories. Never has a line "The past was yours the future is mine, you're all out of time" being less appropriate.
By the reviews I've read they where fantasic and sounded better then ever. Even left out classics like Elephant Stone, I Am The Resurection and This Is The One
I wouldn't pay more than £20 to watch any band in the world It amazes me so many people shell out big money It also surprises me so many SR fans seem keen on this brazen money-grabbing exercise by their middle-aged heroes
The Clash were better and more influential. Thank fook they never reformed, but that was possibly because of Joe Strummer's early death. Stone Roses aren't fit enough to be roadies for The Clash.
Well one of the support acts on Sunday at Heaton Park is The Justice Tonight Band (feat. Mick Jones, Pete Wylie & The Farm) ...does that count as a clash reform act ?...and if they play Train in vain i'll be made up
Considering only one of them was in The Clash, obviously not. The Clash without Jones were poor, the last tour they did was a weak imitation of their previous tours, though Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros were worth a watch
I would suggest that the Clash are not fit to be roadies for Take That. Transparent frauds and conmen, manipulated by Bernie Rhodes. The Damned were better: what you saw was what you got- 100 times more energy than the posey Clash.
