I'm not claiming it is a cast-iron source. Just thought it would be interesting to throw another name in there that I have heard from someone.
I don't think OLM has ever taken any notice of random posts without substance and starting stating them as true.
I think the bookies have got a bit carried away with themselves(or their punters have), I think he'll hang about hoping to get back to Wigan and the Allam's won't wait.
Very. Someone Tickler has been for a beer with saw SB after his interview at Allam Marine and from his body language could tell that he'd been offered the job but had turned it down. And I think Bum Chin said it all along. It doesn't get any more cast-iron in my book
I think you may be wrong ! The bookies have him as 1-4 favourite ! If Wigan don't want him - what a laugh. What goes around comes around. Serves you right !!!!
I don't care what the bookies say, our owners have never actually met, nor even spoken to Steve Bruce. And the bookies had OGS at 1/20 for the Villa job.
We were definitely interested. Contrary to what Bruce said we even met him. But its not a goer. That is what I've heard over the past 36 or so hours. The Allams are doing a pretty good job on keeping things quiet. I get the impression they are a little bit peeved people caught on to Bruce, especially now its a not happening. I think they, like every other owner would like to say 'we only had one candidate in line ect.' IMO its still Clark.
Bookies had Warren Joyce as 1-6 favourite last time. And I don't see how the hell you think you can apply the second line of the quote to this situation. When you get a manager that you don't like, you don't automatically change your mind and start praising him. I'll still think he's a **** and cringe every time I see an interview.. but if he gets results then meh.
Problem with that scenario is that it depends on Martinez taking the Liverpool job. Dave Whelan seems to be suggesting that he might not even go there IF he is offered the job
Reliable source? Trouble is so many people seem to be "hearing" so many different things - nobody is 100% certain who is or isn't in the frame. Last week Burnsy tweeted it definitely wasn't SB - now he is bookies favorite!
If this does turn out to be true about Bruce then it sounds about right that I'd have said it somewhere.
I don't think it's a good move for Martinez, it'll all end up like Hodgson IMO. Which is a shame because he's worked wonders with Wigan & Swansea before that. Maybe if we'd beaten Man Utd when we were in the PL, Phil Brown might be linked with the job too.
I desperately want it to be Bruce, your worst nightmare, of course they have spoken to him, interview next Tuesday ! - pompous pratt !!!!
