He would cost at least £40m realistically. If someone pays that for him, it means we won't have to sell anyone else and we could massively improve the rest of the team on that money. And that would be after bringing in De Jong/Dost/Giroud/Gameiro to replace him

 

England wont make it past the group stage and I'm saying Germany will win it.

That's the obvious prediction though.

Germany looked immense at the world cup, they have so much young talent. Spain sometimes fail to score in their performances.

Germany is an obvious prediction and you're just gonna claim you were right if your guess comes true, and if you're wrong we'll all have forgotten about it anyway.

And I think England will go down in flames in the group stage too, in truth. But I think it's part of Roy's master plan.

This should be the last tournament that we send the past-it players, and when they fail it means he can scrap the lot and say "oh well, I gave you your last chance". We really should have let it lie with the past umpteen embarrassments, but might as well go out on a low so nobody will call for his head when he doesn't pick Terry, Lampard, Gerrard etc.

I hope he picks a Lampard/Gerrard midfield. It stopped being annoying 6 years ago and is just hilarious now, with Frank running as if in suspended animation at a chicken disco and Steven "I play better when we wear red" Gerrard...

And a backline with Terry... Jesus wept (with laughter).

Unless we play bums to the wall like Chelsea in the champions league, we'll struggle to get a draw in my opinion!
