    He was always a good player, however he needed time to adapt to the premiership and wasn't ever given it a NUFC.

    I used too love this guy ! So talented just wasn't played in his best position. If he'd have stayed another year we would have seen the best of him

    thought it was £11.75m...wasn't he in the 2004 squad and didn't he miss his penaly vs England??

    He seems to have bulked up a bit and is much more manly and mature now, and his game has improved because of it.

    I love the fact that that Jenas is in the picture behind him. Their careers appear to have been polar opposites, just as Viana's appears to be on the up Jenas has been out for a season injured and looking like he's on the way out of his club.
